I think T-Mobile has Nokia blocks Nokia Messaging from managing emails. NM now only creates mailboxes but you don't have to enter any settings.

Can anyone identify the following product codes for this device: 0597507 and 0597970.
I would like to know what carrier and what language pack.

Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure those correspond to Nokia 5230-1c, RM-593, which is in the US variant group.

Best I can tell, 0597507 (and 0592823) are US T-mobile versions, and 059797 is a generic US version. This is just from a quick glance through the vpl / XML firmware files.

That sucks then! The generic one is probably the wcdma 850/1900.

I want to flash it with HK ROM, but RM number is different.
I have ph*****, all I need is ROM, but I worry this may kill the phone.

I did not find any info on using different product codes for different rms. And this one is really "special" bc of the WCDMA bands.
The nokia website shows tech specs for both. I wonder if there is a generic firmware. I would be happy just to get that bottom menu unlocked. Ya know

Phoenix wants an order number. When I read it, it says Not available.
If i try to write a different code, i get :"Order Number not valid. Order number must be 7 digits. " Any ideas?

Using Phoenix dead phone flashing method sometimes brick the phone because of different 3G bands (different hardware). I bricked an AT&T branded Nokia 6555b by dead phone flashing with a generic Nokia 6555a firmware.

I don't even know if you can use the good old method (changing product code & using NSU to flash) or not though.

Right, but in this case ATT's is the RM 594
I'm trying to change to a different code within rm-593

Does anyone know/can tell me if this phone works with Microsoft's Zune Pass? (I know some Nokia phones, like the e71, do.) Thanks!

Again, the two T-Mobile ones I mentioned clearly list TMO in the firmware files. The other doesn't. If you want to try to debrand, you should try 059797.

I would, but I get the error I posted above when I try to write the new code. Any ideas?
