Just discovered Simple Mobile, some simple quick questions... Please help...
Hey Guys,
So I have been on this MVNO bandwagon for a few months now and have dropped T-Mobile for Page Plus, and quite honestly, I'm really happy with them, other than the whole BYOD issue. Just discovered Simple Mobile, and I had some questions that a Search could not quite answer. If you could please answer them, I would really appreciate it! Thank you in advance...
1. Has anyone tried the Nexus One on there network? Is it allowed and working perfectly with talk, text, and web (MMS and etc)? Unlimited data would be nice, but it's not critical for me, especially since LAN is enough.
2. If Nexus One does work, in theory, do both versions work on it? The T-Mobile and the AT&T one?
3. If the Nexus One does work, I would be REALLY interested in getting the HTC Desire, basically the HTC Nexus One with Sense, do you think that would work on this network?
4. I heard Simple Mobile does not let you roam. What does that mean? And I mean practically, what does it mean? How many times did you find yourself really out of service? I would preferably enjoy the experience of folks in the Philly/New York/Jersey area.
5. Finally, how about Canada? What has you experience been, preferably driving to Canada and in Canada? Will we have service and how does the cost change? Please let me know, thank you.
Thank you very much for ALL your help in advance! Hope to get some answers, thank you for reading!

The Nexus One will work on Simple Mobile. The Talk/Text/Web with work and it is up to 150 MB on the $60.00 plan. An additional 150 MB of web is available for $25.00.
2. If Nexus One does work, in theory, do both versions work on it? The T-Mobile and the AT&T one?
Simple Mobile only runs off the T-Mobile Native network. It will not work off the AT&T Network at all, at this time.
3. If the Nexus One does work, I would be REALLY interested in getting the HTC Desire, basically the HTC Nexus One with Sense, do you think that would work on this network?
As long as the phone is GSM it should work. Now, if the phone is NOT a T-Mobile GSM phone, then you will need to unlock the handset for it to work with a Simple Mobile Sim Card.
4. I heard Simple Mobile does not let you roam. What does that mean? And I mean practically, what does it mean? How many times did you find yourself really out of service? I would preferably enjoy the experience of folks in the Philly/New York/Jersey area.
That is true. Simple Mobile does not allow roaming at this time off of the areas that T-Mobile would normally roam. Here is a link to the coverage map...... I would suggest that you check the coverage in the areas that you frequent, to be sure of the coverage in those areas.
5. Finally, how about Canada? What has you experience been, preferably driving to Canada and in Canada? Will we have service and how does the cost change? Please let me know, thank you.
Simple Mobile does not have coverage in Canada at the current time (except for 911 emergency services. See the coverage map above.

Get the T-Mobile branded version and not the one with the AT&T/Rogers 3G bands.
Go with the $60 plan, and use Wi-Fi whenever you can, because it will eat it up. QUICK. Blew through 150mb in one week on a Moto Cliq, that's why I don't have Simple now.
Definitely a good company. Hopefully they establish themselves, and don't disappear as quick as they came.
