    Verizon Coverage in Vermont?

I am going to be living in Vermont this summer for a job and I wanted to know if anyone here lives there or has personal experience traveling through Vermont with Verizon.

I know sometimes the maps are not completely accurate, this is why I am asking for personal experience thanks.

I would like to know about your experience with coverage around the cities of

    Richmond, VT

    Morrisville, VT

    White River Junction, VT

    Thanks.

You should have excellent service in VT. I only have used it in the Burlington area but it was rock solid. VZW has the best coverage in the state.

Along I-89 and I-91 coverage is pretty solid. I drive between Boston and Canada pretty frequently via both routes and rarely have signal issues.

I know White River Jct. is good. Not sure about the other cities. I am from NH and Verizon is good, US Cellular is better. At&t and Sprint are horrible in NH and were similar in VT. I know Vzw got the network in NH, but in Vermont it went to At&t. I am not sure if all the towers are switched over or not. They weren't last summer. I thought you switched to Sprint? Sprint will be horrific in Vermont.

VT is native for Verizon. The GSM part was Unicel. They were the only networks in VT I think. You won't have any problems tho. The whole state is 3G too I am sure.
v Speed Test with my Motorola Droid in AL. Droid Does (and so Does Verizon).

Speed Test with my Motorola Droid in Birmingham, AL. Droid Does (and so Does Verizon).^

Speed Test with DSL internet with AT&T(Bellsouth). Horrible.

I went to Stratton last weekend. The only time I didn't get service was on VT 100-N, which is the road that connects 91 to Stratton. Otherwise, I have had no issues...not even when I was on the mountain.

Sounds good. Maybe I will stick with Verizon until I return to Florida.

USCC owns quite a few 850mhz licenses too. Vzw is 1900 only in some spots.

AT&T acquired the cellular A Band from RCC for the entire state of VT. Since both VZW and even USCC are PCS only networks in some parts of the state, I would say your best bet would probably be AT&T at this point.

That's not necessary. Sprint has much better coverage in Vermont as well as better rates and customer service.
Verizon Wireless - More bars in more places on the now network.
Every time you ask whether you can use a VZW smartphone without a data plan, God kills a kitten.
