The Liquids offered by those online stores seem to be sporting Euro 3G frequencies. You won't get 3G on any Canadian network (including Wind). Personally, I would pass on a phone that can't do 3G, but that's me.Originally Posted by xaueious

Surprisingly no one talking about the Acer Liquid?
In terms of specifications it is pretty close to the Nexus One, missing mainly RAM, CPU frequency and hardware design. But the specifications are still solid.
QualComm Snapdragon QSD8250 @ 768 MHz
RAM 256 MB (N1 has 512MB)
ROM 512 MB
LCD transflective TFT , 65536 scales, 3.5", 480 x 800 (N1 is 3.7" AMOLED)
3.5 mm headphone jack
Assisted GPS, QuickGPS, Geotagging
5 MP Camera with Autofocus, no flash
Multitouch supported
Spec Sheet
Nexus One Specifications for Comparison
User Manual
But I've been looking on different dealers and the phone is currently just $400 unlocked!
Here is some shops I looked at. I never bought a phone online before, so this doesn't really vouch for reliability or anything of the merchants I'm going to list here. Taxes not included:
Plexmis from CA$404.73

hi-mobile from CA$418.44
http://www.hi-mobile.net/acer-phones-liquid_a1
cellworldco from CA$469.00
http://www.cellworldco.com/acer-a1-liquid.html
In terms of ROM support, it has full Android 2.1 (official update or otherwise). The xda community is pumping ROMs regularly as well.
