Last week we reported that Google Earth wasn't available in the Android Market for anyone who had upgraded their Verizon Wireless Motorola DROID to Android 2.1. Our readers informed us, and we confirmed, that the app is again available for DROID owners running Android 2.1, and it remains free in the Android Market.
Recently I bought a Samsung printer that had a Samsung retail price on $214.00, but I got it at Staples for 100 bucks. So I investigated some more and found out that the only devices that are sold at retail (inflated x2) were wireless devices. So you have the horse behind the cart.
Oh dear, OpenSignalMaps says Lte 3% of the time! And ATT map say Good to go Lte! If interested you can get OpenSignalMaps from Anroid play.
Alright well, I haven't found any advantage of this over Maps, that's worth noting. I know you can do rotational viewpoints (i.e. view the "map" from an off-angle) and there might be some 3d landmarks, but other than that I just find it to be a bit slower than maps, to load initially, but it has smoother transitions as well whereas on Maps, you might get a blank screen for a second while the Map caches.
