I dont know if this has been asked, when i call a land line my number shows up but not my name it says unknown name. I use htc ozone and unlimited plan.
The name that shows up is all determined by the underlying carrier that 'controls' your number. In this case, I assume that it would ultimately be controlled by Verizon, and I'm not sure whether PagePlus has any input. It has nothing to do with which handset model you're using, etc. Most Verizon phones show 'City, ST' or 'Wireless Caller' (or similar). You can always call PPC CS to see if they can have your name associated with your number, but I'm doubtful you'll get very far.
In a nutshell, here's how it works:
You sign up for a 'new' telephone line. If the company you sign up with supports 'outgoing CID Name' (they may not refer to it as such), they will associate your name and number in their 'Line Information Database' (LIDB). (There is more than one LIDB.) Usually, changes made to one LIDB are propagated to the others, but the propagation may occur over days or weeks.
When a call comes in to a line that supports CID + Name delivery, the telco receiving the call does a lookup in the LIDB for the incoming number and transmits the associated name (and number) with the call.
Verizon won't do it even for its own subscribers. The agent just reads a script about how, if the recipient of the call puts your name and number in his/her phone's directory, then your name will be displayed when you call. Thanks Verizon!
AT&T phones transmit the caller's name (for its direct subscribers, I don't know about AT&T MVNOs).
I have this same issue, although mine is a little more complicated. I have had my number for a little over a year now, the number was ported over from B@@st mobile. My problem is that the number displayed on the land based line comes up as a local business that no longer exists (and I am in NO way affiliated with). I have had many calls turned down due to this issue (VERY annoying). My question to all that read this thread is: How can I change this? Or better yet CAN I change this issue? I also have the Ozone but understand this is not a device issue.

I've had calls from Sprint phones where the name of the user is displayed. VZW typically always displays 'wireless caller' 'cell phone xx' (xx being 2-letter state code) or 'city, st'.
My Page Plus phone literally displays nothing in the name field. The only thing that is displayed is the phone number. It does not come up as unknown, wireless caller, or anything else. It is just completely blank. This was definitely the first time I have ever seen the caller ID display like this. I have had a phone with every carrier out there except Metro and Cricket and my phone has always displayed my name or XX Cell Phone. Sprint and At&t Post Paid displayed my name and all others displayed XX Cell Phone.
Depends on the underlying carrier. My sister in law's (formerly) Alltel prepaid displays her name and number. My Net10 AT&T based phone displays "Tracfone Caller". My Virgin just passed along the phone number and "unknown caller". Boost does the same as Virgin.
For the record, my Verizon land line displays my name and number correctly. My sister's AT&T land line does likewise.
Who would be the correct contact person to change/edit my caller ID display? I would be happy with just a blank display or just my phone number. The incorrect information that is displayed now is hindering people from answering my phone calls. Any ideas would be appreciated.

easy solution -- tell the people you know with landlines to get into the 21st century and get an unlimited cell plan -- then they just program your number into their cell phone and BOOM - problem eliminated
Unfortunately, the best advice I can give is PPC CS. I don't know of anyone else you could call. Out of curiosity, was this number assigned to you by Page Plus? Is the number important to you? If not, I'd bet the easiest thing to do is to get a new number.
The other thought, which I will be the first to say is unreasonable (and may not even work), is to jump through a bunch of hoops:
Port your number from Page Plus to another cell carrier (or, for a more complicated solution, a VoIP carrier*) that can set outgoing name.
Get the name set on that other service, and use the service until you know it displays the correct name for the POTS (landline) users you call.
Once the name shows up properly, port back to Page Plus (unless you're happy with the other service and decide to stay).
I told you it was ugly. There's a good chance you'd have to use a different device (I doubt any VZW MVNO fully supports this since VZW doesn't), coverage would be different, etc.
* The VoIP carrier option is extra ugly, as you'd need a new cell number anyway and would need to forward those VoIP calls to your new cell number.
