hi all!
i got a N905i from docomo here. this beautiful device worked about a year perfectly, but now it's not starting anymore... i don't know what happened, i charged it as usual and on the next morning i tried to start it, but nothing happened.
i tried a lot things like trying to start it will it's plugged in, with battery, without battery, with sim, without sim... nothing, the screen stays black...
the LEDs on the sides (a little red thing on both sides) is flashing and also the charging device says, that the battery is fully charged.
is it somehow possible to do a "hard reset" (maybe by pushing some specific buttons, like on the most other devices)? those things do have an eeprom, right?
by the way: i'm not able to open it, as i don't have the appropriate screw driver for it.
if anyone has an idea, please let me know... this phone wasn't very cheap, when i bought it and i really don't want to buy a new one.
thank you very much!
ohh i'm sorry! i thought this is the right place, as the n905i is a japanes phone : )
hm would be strange, if it's the battery. i also tried to start it, while the power cord was plugged in...
now that's weird, just leave it there for a couple of days, i had that issue with my SH906i , it won't turn on no matter what, left the phone a couple of days and then it worked...
hm still nothing... damn... what the hell is that?
Where did you get the phone from. IF it is from a shop I would suggest taking it to them and seeing what if anything they can do to fix it possibly.
i bought it online and sadly i'm in europe, so no shop near by : ( i'm pretty sure that sending it to a shop (around japan) for repair would cost more than a new phone...
by the way: the battery is okay, i tested the voltage with a multimeter
check the ports on both phone and battery to make sure they are cleaned as well. also try and plug the phone into the dock without a battery in it. see if it does anything too.
i've got no dock. i've only got the battery and the charger...
i'm pretty sure, the power is okay (as the lights are glowing on the device). but i'll check that!
