If you're within 30 days on your phone, just return it and buy it at the lower price.
If not, you're SOL.

Huawei's price is reduced by $20. Anyone knows Wind's official policy on price protection?
I've sent an email to ask about it, and they replied that only purchase between April 1st and April 15th would be qualified for incentive. I remember reading somewhere (can't find it on Wind) that they provided credits to HTC Maple owners who purchased within 30 days before the price reduction.

The Plan
- Unlimited Canada Wide Calling
- Unlimited Canada & US Texting
- Call Display
- Voicemail
- 6 GB Data
Total: $90 + Tax
How about the 30 mintues limit? I've used more than that (calling 611 about porting issue totaled more than 100 minutes).Originally Posted by NerdyBlog

Why don't you suck it up? If you want to get a lower price, wait a few months before buying it. Electronics always drop in price over time. The price you pay today is going to be less than the price you would pay tomorrow.
If you want it now, you have to pay for it.
You know what, I don't actually care about $20. That's less than my monthly donation to charity anyway. I'm never a cheapass like you would like to assume. And I'm never a slave to new gadget, when the Huawei isn't anything attractive at all.Originally Posted by canadiancow
I have just a question about their pricing policy and trying to see whether it's consistent with other policies, what's up with this attitude? Look, I don't friggin need or want their service, and their coverage hasn't even got to my home yet. I switched early just to show my support of more competition. What I really wish Wind have done miles better in laying down policies that everyone understands.
Unbeliverable.
Maybe I should. Thanks for your help.Originally Posted by atforum

The OP already stated that there would be "a price protection plan similar to what best buy and future shop have".Originally Posted by LittleStone
Since the "question" was already answered before this thread was even created, I assumed the OP wanted it backdated further.
I called in and a manager said that the were not offering any credits for the price change.
Seems a little inconsistent.
I didn't say I wanted it backdated further, I was questioning the policy consistency, you speculated my intention, based on the assumption I didn't want to "suck it up". Indeed, if I merely want it backdated further, I wouldn't waste my friggin time whining in this forum, I should just call Wind and bug them.Originally Posted by canadiancow
Yes, it really seems that way. I wonder whether there is really a policy?Originally Posted by Bravoxena
I received an email which said they would credit only those who bought a phone between April 1 -April 15. So I guess that's as consistant as they get.
They need to decide on a good policy and stick to it.
15 days policy is fine if the allowable period for return is also 15 days. Otherwise, someone can really return the phone and buy another one. It would create unnecessary work for store and unnecessary returned phones.
Actually, they are offering price credits for the HUAWEI and the SAMSUNG until APRIL 24TH 2010.
Its too late for the MAPLE now as the last date for that was APRIL 16TH.
