Preferred Unlimited Data (smartphone, sidekick, android, mytouch, blackberry bis only) $20.00

Offers are only available from customer loyalty but gen care has access to the data plans, this must be a system glitch. I'm sure the reps who don't read streamline will see the feature and might offer it. If not loyalty can.
Does anyone know the price of the Preferred Familytime Unlimited Messaging?

Well... thanks guys.... this forum has saved me so much money throughout the years, I thinks I reached my peak!!

I was able to add the $5 web2go, and here is how it went: I called and said cancel to the recording, but I still end up to regular care, a nice guy come on, I went right to the straight to the point and asked right up, he said he couldn't do it because preferred features are no available to him, I kindly asked who would be able to do it, and he say loyalty department, so I asked him if he could transfer me there, he said, well let me call them, and see if there is anything I can do, he place me on hold and next thing I know I have this enchanting lady on the line telling me the reason I was calling, and I say yes that exactly right!! I want the $5 web, and she goes, sure this features are for long time customer and you qualify for it, so she went and add it to the line of was requesting it to, and she went ahead and changed all my others lines web2go $9.99 to the new $5 without me having to ask for..... JUST WONDERFUL!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention the $20 preferred smartphone plan is available on the website, so shouldn't be to hard to switch from the 24.99!!

My t-mobile is all messed up for me online. I can't see it available. Even though I have the preferred data on both my lines it says I don't have any services. Awe well if I use the t-mobile android app it is on there so I am not worried.

I called T-Mobile today after reading this thread and another forum. I upgraded to a HD2 a month ago and my wife a blackberry. They made me take a $30 smartphone web plan and an unlimited text for the blackberry so I took unlimited text for family for $24.99.

So today I told the tech I needed to lower my bill. I asked an got the $20 smartphone plan so I saved $10 a month. Then I told her I didn't want to spend that much for text since we didn't text very much. I also got my additional lines changed from $10 to $5 per month.

When I checked online the tech had removed all my messaging. Then I checked my plan and I could add unlimited family text for $20. It is a savings of $5, but is there a lower price option for text for families?

Well I went ahead and removed the $30 Smartphone data plan and replaced it with the $20 Smartphone "web only" plan via my OLAM for my HD2. I did it on Saturday and so far I see no difference at all. I guess this does help Tmo customers save some money. Kuddos to Tmo .. Now I am thinking of doing the same on my Android Data plan and save $5 there also. Being that I am only paying $24.99 for it now, I had to be a lil more cautious about that one.I didnt wanna lose that price and end up paying $30. Anyone switch to the android $20 data and notice a difference?

I was hoping the family messaging would be $10 like the past. Would one still be able to call in and add the $10 family messaging?

Got the $5 data on first try, but failed on the family allowances.

Regular rep totally did not know about the plans and I was transferred to a very nice customer loyalty rep named Dana. She said that whatever my account shows for the promotions is whatever I could get.

Unfortunately family allowances is still showing as $2 on the rep's computer, but I got the $5 data after being offered the $10 data w/ 1st month free.

I was also able to finally lower my plan to 700min

    THANKS NEWGUY!

p.s. Is it only internet2.voicestream.com that would work? I added to a line using a old blackberry pearl

What is the difference and/or restrictions?
    $5 Web2go
    $20 Preferred Smartphone

I currently use an old T-Mo b for $5.99, using the proxy.

I would obviously want the cheapest I can get, but not clear on these internet changes. Oh, I am on a single line if that makes any difference.

Don't ever give up your $5.99 since it has less restriction than the current web2go ($5 or $10). With the $5.99 T-Zones plan, you can use either epc.tmobile.com or wap.voicestream.com to access the internet. BTW you no longer need proxy with the $5.99 T-Zones.

The smartphone data plan(s) don't have any restriction except the 10GB soft cap.

Funny, I sign on to mytmobile online to cancel my 25 dollars bb internet plan, for some reason, it showed that I have a mytouch 3g. I suspect because I was using my nexus all day today. Anyway, right after I sign on there was a window pop up and said that I have to pick the correct plan for my phone, one is 30 android plan and the other is 20 prefer android plan. So i picked the 20 dollars one and it went and removed my bb also.
