Samsung has put up a site with plenty of eye candy for the Galaxy S
http://galaxys.samsungmobile.com/
Now we wait and see.
Really hope TMobile doesn't kill this phone with added branding. I want this Spec for spec from what we are seeing. My wife and I have been out of contract for 5 years now and would renew for this one!
they already missed me coz i got the HD2 and loving it,
tmobile will have all phones for free with contract on June 19th thats an interesting rumour.
We are I believe. My wife and my monthly bill is about $130 unlimited everything however it is the grandfathered T-Zones. Will this work if we buy the phone out right? TMobile would for sure bump us up to the $20 a phone data plan. I am just not wanting to spend $500 - $600 a phone.
If you are on there non-contract plans, then you will have to buy the phone outright MSRP which is probably in the range you don't want to pay for. The bright side of this is that you shouldn't have to worry if T-Mobile is going to force you to add the data plan. If you do get it with contract, then most likely they will force you to have it.
AT&T isn't getting the Galaxy S. They are getting a variant called the Samsung Captivate. Same specs, slightly different forum factor.
So, your all good.
well i am not encouraging you to do this, but ive read online that ppl. who have the cheap and sacred tzones have done the following:
They did a new 2yr. contract for a new line after a month of service cancelled their contract and yes you do have to pay $200 for cancellation, after cancellation the phone is yours, you can use it with your tzone sim on your cheaper plan.
Dont call in customer service onces you put your old sim in your new phone, if they know you have old plan on new phone, they will put the higher data plan on you.
$200 plus whatever the contract price for the phone is, plus the price of one month of service, plus whatever setup fees there are for a new line isn't going to come out to that much less than the retail price of the phone. Why not just do it honestly and buy the thing unlocked?
honestly??
i understand what you mean after the pricing, but there's nothing dishonest after cancelling your contract according to the rules, which are laid down by carriers themselves.
I mean is it honest of verizon to be selling the Droid for $200 a piece at launch and then few weeks later its buy 1 get 1 free.
I got the HD2 for $100 on contract and a day before that, ppl. bought is for $200 on contract.
Multinational companies including tmobile know what they are doing and cancellation charges are also well calculated.
HD2 was also buy 1 one get 1 free on launch day and later in the week it was $200 per phone, so one has to work according to the system to their own advantage.
Well you can do what i suggested but only when you have a sale going on when you might buy 1 phone and get the other 1 free and for that you will have to wait a little while after the phone comes out, thats a good alternative if you want to keep the tzones at the same time.
