Ugh. Of course. T-Mobile get's the version that doesn't have the front facing camera. Do they realize that it's not about the voice plans or pricing? It's about the phones. Everyone wants the high end phones! Stop removing features!

Since when was a camera on the front of any phone a requirement for it to be high-end? I'm sick of hearing about this.
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network

It's all about competition. People will compare phones and features, the one with the most features wins. That's how generally people looking in the high end phones look at it.

AT&T's version doesn't have the front facing camera either. In my opinion, the T-Mobile version is going to look better.

    Wow major disappointment.

    http://www.tmonews.com/2010/06/t-mob...ficial-images/

TMobile had a ridiculous viral marketing campaign to announce a phone that was simply annouced earlier for AT&T and before that has already been widely shown and reviewed.... except T-Mobile's version is totally watered down.

It blows me away. This seems to have had a reverse result. The Galaxy S was a phone that looked to compete with the likes of the EVO and iPhone. Unfortunately not TMobiles version though which doesn't even take advantage of HSPA+. I honestly feel this is one of the biggest disappoints I have seen from T Mobile. I don't think it is a big secret what 1 awesome phone can do.

Look at the iPhone. It is literally everywhere. In movies (I love you man, Knight and Day was crazy with iPhone) TV commercials like our local news station constantly pushing download our iPhone app. T Mobile REALLY dropped the ball on Vibrant. It is just sad TMobile doesn't get this. You would think that a company like TMobile is primed to move forward from their current position in the market. Competitive pricing with crazy awesome phone would make a huge impact. Why is it that so many people hate AT&T but still keep buying iPhones?? Because the iPhone is not only well equipped but everywhere. Sorry for the rant. TMobile blows with corporate strategy.

It's just sad that you don't get it.

Watered down = no HSPA+ (which has literally no benefit on any phone over 7.2Mbps at the moment)? Last I checked HSPA+ was never offered, mumed, or peeped about with the Galaxy S in ANY variant.
= Flash? Speaks for itself honestly. It was never offered but somehow, and someway.. it's T-Mobile's fault for not having equipped it with 6 LED flashes and a 14MP sensor!
= No front facing camera? Are you kidding me? Seriously? No really? Get a clue. You and others just want to be Me 2's with next to someone elses iPhone 4. It's not necessary, it's not needed, and it's certainly not "watering down" the fact that this phone is the most capable one out on the market for at least the next 2 months.

The stupid camera on the front of the phone is not a show stopper.

The Vibrant is not an iPhone, don't let the app drawer fool you. Stop acting like it's success and development (apps/exposure) depends on T-Mobile, because it doesn't

    !!!

If anything, this trend on the larger Android phones is what disturbs me. I hate not having a non-touch screen option for navigation. It's one thing that continues to irk me about the iPhone and its influence on the market.

Stop removing the trackballs, trackpads and D-pads! Man cannot live on touch screen alone!

Sure we can. I don't miss D-pads and all, and trackballs have ALWAYS been a pain in the butt.
