I'm with ya. With the student rate discount all students qualify for at 15%, it is MIGHTY tempting to go back. Sure Sprint coverage blows, but roaming to VZW to fill in the gaps works out quite well.Originally Posted by Extraordinary

Im not leaving (yet). But I don't think I will be around too much longer. The new Sprint plans with the HTC Evo 4G are looking mighty fine, and after my employer discount the cost won't be that much more.
OR
Boost Mobile CDMA. It's $5 more than P+ but with unlimited data. Use whatever phone you want. I have a Boost CDMA line active now just for data, and its on a HTC Mogul. No more HTC on P+
And now Cricket has nationwide service.... on $30+ plans in my market. Some people say that $25 will get you nationwide in their market.
$40 on Cricket Buys you:
Unlimited
nationwide talk
long distance
nationwide text
caller ID
picture messaging
video messaging
voicemail
call waiting
3-way calling
call forwarding
411
mobile web
I don't know... we will see what happens next. The prepaid battle could be over soon.
Home ISP, RR-Ultimate WiFi, $90/mo | Verizon 4G, $30/mo Unlimited
School, $5,000/semester | Work

Was just checking out the Cricket forum and see that Cricket is coming out with an Android phone this summer...it is a Kyocera Zio for under $200. Saw it on youtube. I know some folk thing Kyocera is junk, but lets wait and see.
The announcement email/letter states "At the same time, we are also announcing that unlimited MMS picture messaging is included in the plan (data transfer charges may apply).Originally Posted by adam1991
Since there is a direct connection between MMS and the 20mb of data available on the uTnT plan then the specific limitation is the 20mb. If the user consumes their allotment of mb's then they start paying for MMS which is not unlimited.
Simple logic.
We all know and have run into the ground the issue of unlimited talk/text and how PPC has handled their limitations.
well Kyocera is junk and im sure that phone is gonna be really slow and bugy.
Well thats a step in the right direction. I hear boost IDEN has one on the way, hopefully Boost CDMA will have their own, but I would assume all Sprint android based devices will work just fine on Boost.Originally Posted by granniegeek

You're now dissing PagePlus for making less expensive something they've always had--something that's never been unlimited.
If it was never unlimited to begin with, you're creating an "argument" out of thin air when you complain about how they've modified it. This MMS issue has nothing to do with unlimited anything, yet you're trying to make it so for the sole purpose of trying to put PP into a bad light.
You wouldn't be shilling for someone, would you?
How come some people aren't staying on topic? It's getting me confused.
On a side note, I was never charged for a single MMS.
I never went over my 20mb though.
I request my frequent MMS'ers to send their pictures and videos to my email so I can control when I download them on WiFi.
With some camera phones a picture can easily be 1mb and videos 4mb. 20mb won't last long.
Lets make this simple. Unlimited anything attached to something limited isn't unlimited, period.Originally Posted by adam1991
What are you arguing? These are statements of fact as we know them to be.
Who are you kidding? I use up my 20mb of data and it now costs me to send or receive MMS is not UNLIMITED. I have been limited to the mb amount and I still am.
What PP did was eliminate one of the associated fees with MMS. They did not make MMS unlimited.
Does the truth bother you? Your personal attack has no sting.
you have to live in a cricket home market to be able to do this....Originally Posted by electron6
You have to live in a Cricket market to be able to transfer your existing number to them or get a number in your area code. they are going nationwide, only through a roaming agreement. Cricket's CS is known to be very poor --- hey....just like PPC.Originally Posted by Extraordinary
what if you paid cash for your PDA -- could you keep your plan?Originally Posted by johncase3
I left Cricket for PP in part due to roaming or no service when I traveled. My phone would say that no "CDMA" service available when my traveling companion with Verizon could use her phone.Originally Posted by luckystreich
No. Newer Sprint smartphones will not activate on any plans except ED or SE ($70 +). If I tried, their system would block activation and demand an upgrade. The TP2 is probably the newest/last PDA allowed on legacy plans.Originally Posted by luckystreich
