It's a good deal compared to most postpaid plans, but there are plenty of other prepaid plans out there that compare quite well.Originally Posted by ayh127

So it's an extra $5 a month for unlimited access to the largest 3G Network in the country. Oh horrors!
It's still a great deal. Data could be better, but that's always been the case. And all you folks threatening to jump ship to a contracted service? What sense does that make? Show me one contracted plan that comes close to matching this value - except family plans, of course. Even then, there are limits on minutes.
Hell, even Metro with their rinky dink network costs more.![]()
Agreed. I use my phone in place of a home phone and only for talk and text, with the occasional picture message sent. $44.95 is still cheaper than anything else I can get for the minutes I use (200-ish) monthly.Originally Posted by SouthEast

wish they would offer a capped minute plan with unlimited sms -- i use very few minutes but thousands of texts (which, generally, cost a carrier / network / mvno very very little to execute)
if they would offer a 1000 or 1200 minute plan w/ unlimited SMS for $34.99 i would be all over that.

Let me summarize: "We're God. You are nothing."
Please do not turn this into another bash-on-PPC thread. They are increasing their fee on a plan. There are some questions around this increase and what is and is not included. We know at least one fee is eliminated in the new plan.Originally Posted by UrbanBounca
Simple as that. We'll get the answers - it might take a day or two to figure this out, but we'll get the answers. If you are not happy with PagePlus, or their plans, then by all means, find another carrier. Not to be curt but... that's why you are on prepaid, for the flexibility and the freedom to come and GO as you please.

And for those of us on the standard plan, they DROPPED their prices.
No matter how you cut it, it's still a great deal.
Now what I wonder is how many folks who were considered a liability and cut off at $40 would also be have the same fate at $45. If they had just raised rates to begin with would they have had to cut people off?
Right now they get two strikes against them for cutting folks off and for raising rates. Would it have been better to just raise rates? Would just raising rates have been seen as greedy without the prior knowledge that P+ doesn't know how to control an supposedly unlimited product.
According to the ruckus sometime back, ownership of PP had changed. If this is true, I would surmise these recent changes are reflective of that, and there could be more on the way.
