    You can prove it?

The legalities surrounding the Page Plus corporation indicated a potential buyout.

All these PPC bashers. Ok find me a better deal. Details of my usage follow.

I use 1700-2200 mins (lots of LD calls) & <100 txts per month. And all the other networks have big holes in their coverage here. I am also using a VZW phone thats status has changed since I activated it almost 2yrs ago.

Afaik theres no better deal for me. But I'll await others input.

I liked the unlimited talk and text for $39.95. Didn't expect to pay $5 extra a month. If PPC had a plan like so many minutes during the day, unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited texting I would go for it. Everything will work out in the end though! I like the fact that I can bring my own phone so I am definitely not going to complain and well I get great service.

No. There was no indication of a potential buyout. There was an indication of a dissolution of one name. That's all.

Either way, this is now veering off topic. This is irrelevant to this thread.

The true intentions and actions that occurred were never publicized, so no one knows for certain what happened.

And on a side note, how about we let the moderators do what they do best? Moderate.

IMHO, this is the price point that PP should've been at from the get go. I still think it's a great deal, and if raising the price slows them down a tiny bit, then all the better. I'm sure they'll have some breathing room to improve their customer service and support.

Also, this move definitely creates a bigger gap between their 1200/1200 and their UL. Having this bigger gap also helps them with averages on usage, which will now be more manageable.

Again, bottom line, $5 does not make their offering a bad deal, it's still great.

I have seen many people compare PP to ST, and I believe there are more differences than one might think. While it's true the new pricing puts PP along side ST as far as unlimited goes, ST limits what phones you can use, and they're not exactly cheap. And while it's true, ST does offer unlimited web, you must take into account the phones utilizing this web.

I think both have a market to cater to, and each bring something different to the table.

I have no problem with users and customers upset about a $5 increase on their wireless plan for nothing in return. Once this horse has been beaten for a few days, we will move on.

That is the only difference. It is not truly Unlimited MMS. The wording in the announcement is not accurate.

So Kitty....if someone ran out of MB usage and had a $0 balance, then they would not be able to send a pic..correct?? Then that's not unlimited MMS??

Dunno... Why don't you try it? Maybe they'll send the message and return the picture to sender for postage due.

Maybe they just wanted all the free advertisement from all the message boards debating the new limited unlimited variation.

PP allows off-network roaming, ST does not (that's a BIG minus for me).

If your car breaks down on I-81 in Hagerstown, MD or Martinsburg, WV and you have ST, you don't have service. With PP, you have the option to pay 29c/min.
You either have coverage or you have Sprint native, you can't have both.

PAYG rules; contracts are for fools.

Agreed. If they ran out of MB and had a $0 balance, then they would not be able to send a picture message. That is not true unlimited MMS. Agreed.

But, the 10 cent per event MMS message after 20mb will be gone. And I personally do not believe $45/mo for the plan is unreasonable. That's just my personal opinion.

There you have it. ST may not be a viable option for many.

That is the reason why ST will never be a option for me. I like to travel and I like my 30 year old car.
