How thick is it? It's about time somebody made a portrait slider for the U.S.!!

I had pretty much written off Windows Phone 7 but after seeing this article, I must say I am a bit intrigued. I will at least consider this when it comes out. Of course, if it IS as locked down and crippled as the rumors have been saying, then I see myself either keeping my TP2 for a while longer or finally jumping over to the iPhone 4 (as long as another carrier besides AT&T offers it).

I'm wondering why they went with a portrait slider rather than traditional landscape? Does it really reduce the thickness that much?

    It's a stale leak.

The phone-centric sites have had this for days.

i just hope it is compatible with web2mail.com because i can't stand microsoft's current syncing OS. web2mail is easier to use for me.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.7 (WindowsMobile; PPC; Opera Mobi/35267; U; en; Presto/2.1.1))

It looks very compelling and I can see myself with it. But I'm interested in the intregity of the slider(hardware).

I love the slider form factor. It's just nice to pop up and down to end a call. I know that sounds incredibly stupid but I like the physical interaction.. A while ago I was considering the HTC Touch Dual for that reason. 14.9 mm is pretty thick but do able (the dual was 15.8mm)

Just wish they designed the slider to cover the camera lens like Samsung does. Sammy's probably got a patent.

All in all. Great looking device.
