good luck, as before stated on the forums, if ST catches you tethering and using excessive data they will cut your phone off. their "unlimited" isnt exactly unlimited

They have been known to cross reference and find any other ST/Tracfone/Net10 phones you have and kill them all.

    No Interest in Tethering

I have no interest in tethering or even using "excessive" data, I would just like to have a couple apps and maybe a game (JAVA stuff), like OperaMini, etc I only have one pre-paid phone, period. I hear what your saying and I don't really expect anything from ST other than a cheap voice phone that works. I had it all for 9 years with AT&T and was paying $109 a month ($24.12 in taxes and fees!). I'm retired now so voice is about all I use on a phone, my kids do text so it's nice to have but I wouldn't pay extra for it, same with web, nice to have but not to buy!

So you have successfully tethered on straighttalk?

This is nice for emergency (light use), but can easily lead to trouble.

Make sure you are willing to lose your phone days/service, phone, and number. Tracfone/Net10/ST will kill your phone(s) without asking a single question.
