I am on a "Pay as you go" contract. I was trying forever to get MP3's on my cell but had no luck. Now I get them on easily for free. What you need to know is that its done through the internet on your phone so you MUST pay for unlimited surfing ($10 per month). Here is what to do

1. Get unlimited web surfing.

2. Put all the mp3's you want as ring tones in a directory on your computer.

3. goto www.myxer.com on your computer

4. About half way down the page on the right hand side you will see "Make your Own" ringtones

5. click on browse....goto your directory and click on an mp3

6. follow the instructions and it will at some point ask for your cell number, enter it. It will convert your mp3 to a ringtone and send you a txt messge.

7. open the txt message on your phone and follow the link given. You will be asked to down load the ring tone......and it will be placed into the memory of the phone NOT on a memory card. In order to goto the link given you MUST have unlimited surfing because Virgin wont let you access the URL without unlimited surfing.

I put 10 ringtones onto my phone in less than 10 minutes.

FREE Software - Goto http:\\m.getjar.com on your cellphone.

I suggest searching for opera mini, download and install.
on m.getjar.com you will find programs to chat on MSN/Facebook for free (Virgin wants 5.00 a month for MSN)
free games, software...ect

Note* Virgin Mobile Restricts access to the file system on the phone...dont bother with Bitpim becasue it does not work. And it will only "see" ringtones in the phone memory...not on a micro sd card. Hope this helps.
