From my own research I believe that I should get the HTC Touch Pro2™. But what are your thoughts?
I had the same set of choices when I renewed three weeks back. I got a Palm Pre Plus. I would make the same choice again if available. WebOS will spoil you once you spend 5-10 minutes with it (Verizon needs to let loose their GPS grasp on it).
TP2 would be good if not for the Windows Mobile 6.5 being no longer in the evolutionary path. I am assuming that there will be a hack for Windows Phone 7 sometime after WP7 release but it is yet to be done, so it is uncertain.
It would be really helpfull if you let us know what was important in a phone for you.... I'd say the HTC Incredible, but, Android is important to me. YMMV.
I'm not paranoid, I just have a total awareness of any given situation.
I really like the internet but never had it in a phone. I dont use my phone that often really. Ive only ever had a flip phone.
So it needs to be able to text, talk, and internet. wouldnt mind music storage too. take pictures and video to is nice. A nice screen seems cool. The full keyboard seems cool too. I think its more, i dont know the cool features each phones have so thats why im asking you, in general whats the best
If you don't need a keyboard get the Incredible. If you do, then get the MotoDroid. If you want to wait the Droid2 should drop sometime during the summer as well as several other Android devices.
Blackberry has a Bold dropping May/June. You've got way more options than that you've listed in your OP.
Ahhh, I see. You left out the detail about price range. But ok, let's work with that.
First thing I'd like to ask is that, if costs is such an issue, how do you plan on paying the $30 data plan per month? If that's not an issue then on to the second question.
If he has the Touch Pro2 listed then everything should be in his price range since every phone is 199 or less. Not sure why the droids were left out. For the money, you really can't beat the pre plus though. $49.99, free wifi tethering and webOS.
None of the phones I have listed will cost me more than $50
Touch pro 2 is $30
The palm pre is $50
I am on my moms phone plan, she is already paying $30 a month for her samsung omnia. Im guessing an additional $30 will have to be paid if I also get one of those phones? I will pay the $30/month but I dont want to pay too much for the phone itself. I will be happy just to get an upgrade over my moto v750.
The 8830 listed is not a mistake.
I dont know how much the Ne2 costs. I am just on my moms plan so I dont know how much anything costs.
Now I just checked and the touch pro is up to $150. So I would still keep it in consideration unless it drops back down but now I need some feedback on the rest in case it doesnt.
You're shopping on the website which is only a good start. Decide what is most important to you after call quality and learn how they work. Every one you listed has similar features; judging from the online reviews, the Windows Mobile phones (HTC) are bad for beginners as your memory will fill and crash/freeze. You don't need Blackberry. That leaves Palm and Android, both should work well. I love my Droid, but Palm Pre looks like the best deal. Good luck.
How are you determining that you have a NE2 discount? That should only be available on the main line of the family plan. And where do you plan on getting a TP2 for so cheap?
