I noticed that everytime a send or receive a picture via text message, it formats it as a slide show. When I view it shows it for about 3 seconds full screen that shrinks back down. Is there any way to change this on the Incredible?

i've been so annoyed by this. Having a picture pop up and disappear after 5 seconds is so annoying. i can't figure out a way to make it just stay up.Originally Posted by bballpaul
The image also doesn't fill the screen properly sometimes. I had a landscape image and I had the phone in portrait orientation. I turned my phone so the image would fill the screen better, and then the image rotates with the phone!Originally Posted by MegaHyp
Not to mention it is only open for 5 seconds as well. They need to fix these annoying issues.
also why can't we see all the pics at once instead of having to open each pic to see it, that sucks.Originally Posted by Synbios
I actually discovered a workaround shortly after I posted... you can download a free app called Handcent SMS. This actually gives you a lot more customization with your texting and allows you to view and send pictures without being a slideshow.
Has anyone had a problem of the camera lens falling into the phone. I have taken great care of it, and I noticed the other day half the camera lens is inside the red thing and the red thing is dented. I have never even dropped it.
touch the picture then press the Pause button that displays below it.Originally Posted by MegaHyp

I preordered mine, but have already called Verizon and am shipping it back today for one reason - reception.
My old phone, a nondescript Samsung Gleam, did fine with reception in my house, occasionally in a certain spot I'd get a dropout (the call wouldn't drop, but you could tell some part of what the other person said dissapeared from the call).
The Samsung Gleam was never known for being particularly great with reception, though it wasn't known for being bad either.
But my Incredible has dropouts - repeatedly - from anywhere in my house, including my couch where I'm usually using my phone. A couple times it's been an issue when outside the house as well.
I'm thinking of getting a used LG Dare to tide me over until they come out with another android phone to try, or the iPhone, or whatever. As much as I like the screen on the phone, if it doesn't work well as a phone it's useless for me. :-(
Have you tried the *228 thing?Originally Posted by PaulRivers
so has anyone else experienced the screen turning black when you hit the pause button on pic messages??Originally Posted by MegaHyp
I also noticed that the pause does work on pic sent from NON-verizon pic messages. My buddy sent me pics from his iPhone and i can view those and pause the picture so it stays up...but any pic from a VZW person, the screen just goes black when i try and pause the pic so it doesnt dissappear after 5 seconds! ahhhhhh@!!!! this is so annoying!!!!!!!!
I have 2 major complaints about the Inc.
1) My phone randomly reboots. Happened twice today so far. Once when it was just sleeping on the desk. Second time, I turned off my bluetooth headset while listening to Pandora and it rebooted.
2) The battery issue relating to immediate discharging from 100% to the low 90s. I hate that I have to turn off my phone and charge it for another 30 minutes to get the full 100.
Are you guys sure the green light doesn't come on at 90%,and that's just giving the false impression that its fully at 100? Because the nexus one green light comes on at 90% and you still have another 100% to go before full charge. You have to install the battery widget to your home screen to be able to monitor this in real time.
