    Question debrand T-Mobile version 3711 (RM-511) with 3710 (RM-510) fw?

I remember both 3710 and 3711 have same hardware and 3G bands (900/AWS/2100). Now I am wondering can I flash 3711 with 3710 fw (I have it on hand).

    Scottish Skyedance,

I would not recommend. Even if you dare to try cross-flash it, I would suggest you to experiment with the the v3.80 data package first. If anything goes wrong, you can at least try to go back with the T-Mo one. Also, I would try to compare the file sizes of BOTH variants' MCU files. If they are the same, I rather just flash the PPM and image and leave the MCU alone because ou never know if it will screw up the RF tunings.

were you able to successfully do this? I have a 3711 just sitting here and would love to mess around with "hacking it". No one seemed to buy this phone, I guess it was not popular
