S55 F/W 16 available for download at Club Siemens

A new version of S55 software is available for download at

Seems to be English amd Scandinavian languages but I have it on my S55 and it is great.

Faster menus, English T9 works fine and appantly it solves the short ring bug - this was not an issue for me as I used a longer Poly ring so did not experience the bug.

Highly recommended - plus with your included data cable installation is a breeze.

i was waiting for new firm ware cuz F/W 12 is buggy as hell. after installing F/w 12, sometimes when someone calls my cell, the phone would keep ringing and wouldn't let me pick up the call. hopefully f/w 16 is better

Can somebody please explain how a FW update is related to a language? A FW in english and scandinavian languages will only update the software related to those languages in your phone or is it just for the instructions on how to to the update? I'd like to update my S55 but I also want Italian to be updated in my phone. Thanks

As stated,

The T9 languages for the discussed upgrade are: English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish

The Menu languages for the discussed upgrade are: English, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish

If you choose to perform the upgrade, you will not have Italian T9 or menu languages, only the stated ones.

is it just me or after upgrading to fw 16, the quick access botton to the profile on the side is no longer functional.

The profile select feature is still there in fw 16

Remember to only press the + (top) part of the left button to access the profile change area otherwise you activate the voice tag activation.

I mailed siemens and complained about some buggs that I have for about a week ago. They sad that it would come a new update in about 3 weeks. And it's would be caled FW 16.

I have search on the my-siemens site to find it and wating for it to come out. Then I saw this notice and gues that I was happie.

Now I have installed FW 16 and it worked like a charm. Several buggs that I have in the FW 12 has been fixed.
