    @yrmobl.com????

    I have a friend who uses Virgin Mobile and 2 of the messages that were sent to my email address came as @yrmobl.com & not vmobl.com.
    Does anyone have an answer for this?
    Thanks for the help.

    yrmobl.com

    I'm having same problem with my phone. When i test from my virgin mobile prepaid phone to my boyfriend's email address it indicates in his email that i sent it from my number at yrmobl.com. Now I'm having trouble getting replies from him. Contacted virgin mobile and they are now doing an investigation into why this is happening. Someone may be hacking into my phone. My doc told me that when I called her from my cell, her caller ID said call was coming from Riker's Island (Prison). Does anybody out there have any info as to how vmobl.com can suddenly become yrmobl.com?

    That's the domain on the outbound address that is used on accounts now. Mine started showing up that way around the middle of may... right before Beyond Talk was introduced. The inbound address is still vmobl.com. It's not a "problem," it's just the way they're set up. Don't worry about it.

    contact VM and ask if they have any intelligent insight on this, maybe they might give you your msl code so you could re-update the phone to the current software which may or may not fix your problem. as for the caller id thing, depending on where you live it might be bouincing off that cell tower and confusing the caller id info, it actually happens often with cells. and hey you can make a joke and if it continues to show up as Riker's island, you can say "yup i got busted again"

    Lightbulb

    yrmobl.com is apparently a "no-reply" domain. I tried sending a short text-only email message to my Virgin Mobile phone at xxxxxxxxxx(at)yrmobl.com and it never was received on the phone. Moreover, I never got a reply to my email account that the message was undeliverable. I then tried sending to xxxxxxxxxx(at)vmobl.com and the text message appeared on the phone within a few seconds.

    If you want to send messages from a computer to a cell phone, use a mail client such as Thunderbird or SeaMonkey Messenger that allows you to select a "Plain Text Only" message format and limit the text to 160 characters or less. If you send a message to a Virgin Mobile phone, the address is [area code plus the seven-digit number](at)vmobl.com. Do not include the "1" country code in front of the area code; the message will not be delivered to the intended recipient and you will not be alerted of the failure to deliver by a bounce reply from the vmobl.com messaging server.

    That is interesting, cause I have replied to this address before and never had the issue.
