    TM506 vs. Equinox

Is the only difference the name and look?

Or--are there any other differences between the two phones?

Any advantages to the Equinox, in comparison with the TM506? Any disadvantages?

I believe the TM717 has newer software. But I think the antenna was moved down on the TM717, so your hand blocks the antenna. No biggie but the TM506 has excellent reception in part of it's antenna being at the top of the back.

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.

    TM717--Larger screen, 2.2" vs. 2.0".
Camera 3.2MP vs. 2MP. Also includes geotagging.
Has Google Maps 3.0 and can be used with GPS. (TM506 has no built in Google Maps.) GPS locks within seconds---faster than my two TM506.
Screen's brightness doesn't seem to go as high compared to TM506.

The Equinox has all 4 of the standard 2G GSM bands, which is helpful if traveling outside the U.S. The TM 506 is a triband (as far as 2G brands are concerned)

The Equinox is a bit thinner (not a big advantage, but as long as we're making a list)

The more up-to-date software has a few improvements (e.g., the calculator in the Equinox can be used with fewer key presses due to a more thoughtful design)

I've debranded both my Equinox and my TM506 so I can't recall for sure, but did the Equinox come with its FM radio activated?

One advantage the TM506 has over the Equinox: I can read the outside screen on the TM506 very easily; it is much harder to see on the Equinox

Yes it does come with the FM Radio activated. Did you loose it when debranding?

Nothing happens to the FM radio when you modify the Equinox per the wiki.
