It just showed up a couple of days ago, and I can't find any reference to it anywhere, it looks like an earpiece to me but it's on all the time, even when my headset and bluetooth aren't even on-

Anyway check your music players. It's possible that one of them is to blame for the odd notification. Did you ever try dragging down the status bar on the top of the screen?

Nevermind, I found out what it was. I went into Call Settings, then under Other Call Settings "Hearing aids" was checked, I cleared the checkmark and the icon went away. Well, at least we all know what the icon for Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) enabled is now
Did you notice that in call volume was louder while the service was on?
