Now ifyour on the unlmited plan, and you run out of money on the plan, pp is suspending your account. You (or your dealer) have to call cs and wait on hold for 20 minutes to get it turned back on. Ridiculous!!

I second that!Originally Posted by aargh
I agree with Econoweb that once you add money, the service should automatically resume without a call to CS, especially if you are only a day or two late. Even when I had DirecTv (a satellite based cable company), when I suspended service for a vacation I could reactivate through an automated system and not need to talk to anyone (and they are the hardest to deal with company I have ever dealt with).
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but can't it be and isn't it as simple as adding another utnt pin to get back on utnt - if you let it lapse to regular pay-go?
I don't see where the issue is here?
I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

Umm, that is what prepay does... If you don't pay, you don't play...
Since in this case, no money is left on the account or PP would just move the customer to the standard plan, PP has no idea that the customer wishes to continue with service.Originally Posted by mharris127
Requiring contact from the customer seems reasonable to re-establish service.

Pageplus actually expects money every month for those monthly plans...
The difference here is no money left on the account. Nowhere for PP to go except to suspend, not to pay-go.Originally Posted by tracnet
Ahhhhhhh....ok. I missed that part. Even so, I agree with aargh on this. Prepaid is exactly what we thought it was - it's PREpaid.Originally Posted by Quizologist

I don't think you are understanding!
You can not do an MDN number status or add money to the account without calling pp cs. Now that you call pp cs there system is down and can't "reinstate the account"
However also keep in mind, that people could very well pay early or on time with pp. Except for the fact, that your money would be "used" for something else and your plan would still fail to renew.
Not happening like that here in the cornfield. People are applying money late and are checking status of their accounts even though it's been a few days or a week or two since their expiration date. Strange.

If you cannot add money in this situation, you can't talk either! That is why I said that a customer should be able to add money to a tardy account and reinstate service without CS intervention.
One person on UTnT for 4 months wanted to renew with utnt pin today.. 2 DAYS LATE........
Purchased pin and went to go add it...
This comes up:
This account has been suspended due to failed plan renewal and insufficient balance. Please contact Customer Service to have this account reinstated to active status.
Been on the phone now over 20 minutes just to Get the account reinstated or to APPLY the NEW PIN....
That is NOT GOOD...
Cannot look up mdn status or anything
fail.....
I was destined to be INTO cell phones... Nathan Stubblefield was proposed as a claimant for the invention of wireless telephony which does conflict with the four patents for the "photophone" invented by A. G.
