need app to hide videos etc

Anyone recommend an app that will hide pictures and videos make them secure hidden from the Gallery but also hide the thumb nails ? I have tried a couple but the thumb nail still shows up on the Gallery.

    Thanks

    Search for .NoMedia
    To get the instructions

I think it something like this
    First delete these files
create the nomedia folder, then place the new files in the nomedia folder

just a guess, but it might be the GF pix, he doesn't want anyone else to see.
those are special , just for him..

can't blame him for wanting to keep them private so his 'buds' playing with his phone doesn't find them

.nomedia worked on my old HTC magic but I can't remember how to set it up. I am sure a Google search will find a tutorial

The .nomedia approach is simple. Just place a file named .nomedia in the folder with the photos/videos. Then they won't show up in the gallery. They're not hidden from anyone browsing the SD card or anything but if the goal is just to keep them out of the gallery it's an easy and simple approach.

I tried that and yes it works it hides it from the gallery and if you use a file manager go into the directory where you put the video it shows the video or picture, it just hides from the gallery

now the other issue is that I installed video safe to encrypt the video but it does not find it, I am assuming it does not find it because of the .nemedia hiding it, I will play around some more see if I can figure it out how to hide it from the gallery and have it encrypted so no one can see it, at this time it is more of a try project just playing around and learning for that one day you might need it hahaha

thanks to all the feed back
