I actually saw it in a Walmart in NJ on Saturday - since you're in the tri-state area as well, you might want to call around.

Yeah, check your Walmart. I saw the Loft on Sunday hanging on the shelf. Didn't buy it as I'm not interested in that model. Wonder if anyone were to buy now if it could be activated before the new plans are out?

If its available, and for sale, at a retailer near you, you can Purchase it, Activate it, Top-Up, and then on the 12th select one of the new monthly plans for your account.

That is not always the case. I've seen some new prepaid phones on the shelf and when the cashier tried to activate the phone it failed to activate. Turned out in that case that new model wasn't supposed to be for sale for another week.

If I still had a VM voice account I might have tried purchasing the Loft to see what happens. Unfortunately I don't use VM for voice anymore (just BB2Go).

Kyocera Loft pics and quick take.

This was found at Best Buy in Manchester, NH.

Pictured next to the Verizon Motorola Q.

Battery enclosed was basically dead, so it’s on the charger right now. Comes preloaded with Opera Mini and Google Maps. Phone claims to have object push via Bluetooth but after pairing it up and attempting to transfer photos, I get “unsupported file type”. Will try to do a little more with it tomorrow. My journey took me from Springfield, VT to West Lebanon, NH to Concord, NH (where I picked up the Common Cents LG 101), to Hooksett, NH and then to Manchester, NH, then home to Claremont, NH. Forgive me, but 3AM comes early.

definitely looking forward to the review. i really want the Rumor Touch, but for right now, the Loft would be more affordable. if you give it a positive review, ill probably pick it up. im in MA, so if it is in some NH Best Buys it may be in some around here too seeing we are fairly close. Im also curious if the new phones still have the same software as older models, or if Sprint revamped it.

Is the Loft the same model that Common Sense Mobile is going to have?
