I don't post these types of posts very often, but I just bought a Samsung 201G flip phone off of Net10's website for $17 plus tax. The phone comes with a 200 minute/30 day card as well as the 300/60 that comes with any Net10 phone. The $3 discount code that I used is 34567 and regular shipping was free. If you buy a more expensive phone, this code can be combined with 44477 for an additional $5 off. I figure that is one good deal, we will see for sure when I activate and use the phone.
Mods, I have posted two or three other posts like this in four years and I don't work for any cell phone company. The way I understand the rules this is acceptable as long as it isn't a weekly occurrence (nothing is said about this type of post as I understand it, but if someone got carried away with them it could change quickly). With the changes made recently taken into account (especially in the PP forum), please PM me if I broke a rule with this post -- I am only trying to help fellow posters and readers. Thank you for your cooperation.
I bought the same deal a week or two ago. Don't forget that for just a little more (looking at the per minute cost) you can get the LG which comes with the 300min/60 day card if you need more service days to use the minutes.
FatWallet cashback is now at 15% for both TracFone and NET10 as well. I don't even know why I ordered that NET10 Samsung, I have more than enough minutes and phones but I figured it was a good disposable phone w/ lots of minutes
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

The deal is not a joke. I may have overreacted with the note to the moderators, but with all the problems we have had with Page Plus dealers advertising without paying Howard, I thought I better hedge my bets. Maybe you weren't aware of the changes made recently to HoFo and I was unsure of the new rules regarding this type of post (the rules list does not make mention of a consumer posting about a good deal, and I don't know what their definition of "advertising" now is). In the past, advertising only referred to a dealer or company posting about a product. I think you'll understand now, laszlomdq.

I'm sorry, I don't want to sound mean but this deal has been going on for more than a year.

They've had the $30 or $20 refurb deals for a while, but only with antiquated or bottom of the line phones. The T201 offer is recent, I think it's a slightly better phone. Personally, I'm more interested in the refurb LG600 w/300 minute card because I generally like LG more than Samsung.
The Samsung T201 has NOT been listed with the 200 minute bundle for over a year. I've been checking their site since Nov.2009,when I bought Xmas phones for my kids. The bundle then, was the LG300g listed with 300 minute card for $30 or a 200 minute card for 20 bucks. The bundle with the LG600g and the Sam T201g was just added a couple months ago. I personally like the Sam t201 better then the LG300 for a low end phone.
This is a great deal. I'ver been bailing out of my Net10 phones when they expire but am going to keep one. So this has started me adapting the "spare phone" concept. I buy a bundle to utilize the extra card, but activate the phone for a spare. I leave it laying under the kitchen phone and my kids know they can grab it to use whenever they go out-their phones might be charging, left somewhere, etc. I now have 5-6 unactivated LG 600g,Samsung T201g and Lg300g's. Spare phones for a year. I'm also curious what bundles ,with different models they may add later.

I have been monitoring the Net10 site for a couple of years now (and have bought a couple of phones off of it), I can attest that the current deal has only been there for less than a month now.
As I said, we will see if it was a good deal when I get the phone -- but for $20 and it having a card with it, I can't go too far wrong.

Tim, you have a good idea -- but be warned that others have reported that after approximately 50 phones purchased your name and address goes on a block list and you can't buy any more off the Net10 site. In one case a whole city went on that list after a kid did this with him and all of his relatives (he made $20K selling phones and cards he bought on the Tracfone site when they had the two 60 minute card and a phone for $20 deal going)!

What I meant to say is that these kind of deals are going on for a long time. Maybe not for that specific phone but I really don't care at all on what phone I'm using, I care a lot more about the minutes offer. So when I look at the deals at the NET10 website I usually look at the minutes offer plus whatever phone they come with.

I got the $30 LG600 300 minute bundle in early April and it was missing the 300 minute card. I finally straightened it out with CS after several phone calls but they were horrible to deal with and acted as if I were lying and trying to get another free card out of them.
Also, they gave me a pin number to scribble down on a piece of paper - not an actual card or official looking confirmation email or anything. The phone call is registered to the LG600 but I added the minutes to my Net10 T401g. It would be difficult if the minutes were in question and I had to prove where I got them. It also doesn't look so good for anyone planning to sell the card on craigslist (cover the cost of the phone) or give it as a gift, maybe as a bonus for a child who got good grades or a gesture for someone who did you a favor.
Go ahead and stockpile the bundles if you want, but be sure to open them as soon as you get them and check that nothing is missing.

I guess that is where we differ. I like flip phones to carry around, and the prior LG that had the $20 deal was not a flip. My spare phone (a Tracfone) is a Moto C261 candy-bar shaped phone like the LG model -- it is great for a spare just in case the house phone goes out and I am not home, but whenever I carried it around I accidentally pressed keys and even enough of them that I accidentally called a relative with the phone in my pocket! I renew my main phone using an auto-pay feature with my credit card, so the card that comes with the phone is just bonus minutes -- the charge goes through whether I use it or not. I already have 2800 minutes on it that have built up over the past three years, so I will probably put it on my sister's phone. She actually uses the 150 minutes I give her on auto-pay plus 20-30 a month (I use about 75-80 minutes most months) -- she has reduced the 1100 minutes that were on the phone to about 700 in the course of a year with 150 minutes a month being added to it.
