Bell will NOT override your HUG date, whether it's three days or three months away.
Your broken/lost/etc phone story isn't any different than anybody else who posted theirs.
And technically speaking, they can override the system, in reality, or when dealing with a CSR who doesnt mind being fired , pretty much anything can be placed on override, corporate plans are ridiculously easy to get without even showing any information you work for Said Company

CSR's can't override HUGs. Only managers and higher can, so it's highly unlikely to happen.
Corporate plans are a totally different ball game.

lol unless that csr had some access to those features, he could do some pretty nice **** LOL
CSR's do not have the physical ability to do a HUG override. On a CSR's system profile, the override button isn't there. For Managers and up, the override option is there.
Activations on corp plans are a whole other topic all together.

oops I was talking about a corporate plan so its kind of different then, anyone know what happened to that Preferred 30 Complete? Its a corp plan that I hear no one talk about anymore lol, has it been discountinued?
My HTC Vogue broke, it was $180 to get out of the contract and get a shiny new android phone for $79 on a 3yr contract at Telus...or $400 to get the phone I wanted. Called wanting to cancel my contract and got $100 off the phone, and free call display and voicemail.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread but I'm on the Preferred 30 Complete via Costco and I'm up for renewal. i was told that it is a grandfathered plan and it is still the best deal out there. I can renew at the same plan and add a data plan with a smartphone

I was able to get a $50 a month credit on my account for 6 months to offset the full cost of a new phone, no renewal and not affecting my hup date. after my 9700 was kicked into a lake. account was activated on Nov 21 or whatever the date HSPA launched was.

Big changes come to upgrade policy in October...
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer
It is slightly easier now than "no" to get it over-ridden.
Really it depends on when you are trying to do it. A few months back it was impossible and no manager would over-ride (they were forbidden from doing it). Now it's semi-possible depending on the circumstances, but you have to be at least 12 months into a contract and meet certain requirements.
