I just checked and it looks like my zipcode (78752) has a $30 deal that is really tempting:

I'd probably add on mobile web for $5. $35 bucks is still not too bad. My co-worker is about to sell his hero for cheap to buy an evo. Not to mention that even if I have to start the account online, there is a $10 phone so it would be $25 initially.
