Samsung Impact and GPS Navigation

I am currently using TomTom navigation on HTC Touch, and thinking to switch to Samsung Impact. Since it is not a WM phone, just wondering if other GPS navigation appl will work on the Samsung Impact.

Yes a modified Version of Google Maps will work with its GPS

to use the modified version of google maps i need the master key to make it work, like show up...how would i get the master key? my phone says it needs to be 12 digits long. i need help

Mine also goes until 12. Doesn't mean it has to.
are you sure you're typing in correctly?
well, I remember seeing another master key on that thread that didn't work for me, you could try that one out if you find it.

I've never had a phone with GPS & I'm upgrading to the Impact because I can't get a decent rate on a smart phone w\out a data plan.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the GPS on this phone will still work w\out data or mobile browser.

How does the billing on the data work if you're out of your home zone, another city? Do you get charged roaming on the data use, long distance, what?

data works without charge anywhere in canada, same goes for texting
