Absolutely not. The ONLY thing the iPhone has over the Inc is a bigger app market. It's an inferior device in every other sense. Worse camera, lower resolution screen, lackluster OS, take your pick.

Hey all,
I know there's plenty of rumors about an iPhone coming for Verizon. And these are just rumors.
But with all these rumors, it getting harder and harder to dismiss it as such.
I got my Droid Incredible 2 weeks ago. I love it. It's pretty great. But I still see the iPhone as a device which I can use for everything. Battery life is pretty bad too..
Anyway, is anyone itching to return the Incredible in anticipation of a possible iPhone...?
Absolutely not. The ONLY thing the iPhone has over the Inc is a bigger app market. It's an inferior device in every other sense. Worse camera, lower resolution screen, lackluster OS, take your pick.
I held off on buying the Incredible because of the shadow/other phones that are coming out at the end of the summer/early fall.
Maybe wishing i had the evo, but my coverage is so spotty with other non verizon carriers that I would be hesitant to do it.
I'm waiting for the Shadow!
I never broke down and bought the Inc do to the fact I know other stuff is coming. And with issues being reported with the INC I saw no point in doing so and kept my Droid until the new devices get released.
However even not owning it (Inc) I totally agree with ZachGates comments on all accounts. I'd go as far as saying they aren't even comparable to each other. To further add I would not hold my breathe thinking the iPhone is coming to VZW, specially any time soon if ever. As mentioned they are all rumors and even if it were true noway it would get released this year. At best 2011 at some point once LTE start rolling out.
The only reason that I did the upgrade to the incredible is because the only way that I'd qualify for a smartphone upgrade is through the early upgrade promotion that Verizon had going on. This phone is better than any dumbphone that Verizon has to offer, even with the issues that this phone has.

I never got the Incredible because I am waiting to see what the 4th generation iPhone brings. I am also interested in the Shadow and the Droid 2 because of the RF and call quality that in my mind Moto has demonstrated they are capable of bringing back as they did with the Driod.
I still think there is something to be said for a phone that does everything as seamlessly as the iPhone does, BUT it is lacking in RF performance and call quality which is my main priority.
I doubt I will go with the Incredible because of it's questionable battery life and some reports of RF issues, but time will tell.
I just switched from the iPhone to the INC. You guys aren't missing much with the iPhone like ZachGates said all it has is a bigger app market but honestly before I switched I looked up all the apps I use on my iPhone and all but 2 are in the Android Market. Unless you want iFart Ver.58928754 the app store isn't that big of a deal.
not to bust your bubble but the camera is fantastic and phone itself is tooOriginally Posted by ZachGates

i would just get/ and or keep the Inc. its a better phone all around anyway. no one knows for sure if and when Verizon will get the iphone.
i agree! the incredible is the closest thing to the iphone ive seen and the camera is alot better on the incredible than the iphone in reality, but yes get the incredible and dont wait for the iphoneOriginally Posted by Nissan Sean
AT&T still has 2 years left on their exclusive 5 year contract with Apple.
All iPhone talk is pretty much speculation at this point. No use in holding out for an iPhone if it isn't even a verified fact that it will hit Verizon this year.
