Are Sprint phones losing their Page Plus prls with ota updates?

I understand on at least two independent forums that Sprint phones flashed to Verizon/PPC prls have been reverting back to stock Sprint.

Usually involving either a master reset or an OTA updata via *228. Confirmations out there?

I personally have 4 sprint phones active. NONE are reverting.

Can you be more specific, ie models what PRL was loaded etc.

Are you sure its a Sprint PRL and not a Verizon PRL? (calling *611 and getting Sprint, Verizon or PP)

If the phone pulls a PRL update often the Roaming indicator will now show up especially if its an EVDO phone.

Additionally, doing a *228 with a Sprint PRL will not work, so in general your post is very confusing...

I have modified a prl to get rid of the roaming indicator on my phone. whenever i do OTA programming, it replaces the modified prl and my roaming indicator comes back. other than that, i have had no problems.

Exactly. When PRLs are pushed or pulled into the phone it'll always be the Verizon PRL which if you are using a Sprint handset can't correctly interpret the extended roaming indicator settings verizon uses. Once you modify out the 6x RI numbers, it fixes that problem.

That doesn't sound good for me, as I'm considering buying a Moto Q9C that is on Sprint.

Sprint phones can be flashed to PagePlus, correct?

You can buy a Sprint Q9c and flash it with the verizon monster and it will work just like a verizon Q9c. Won't revert back or I guess i should say I haven't had any revert back to sprint prl's and work fine

You need to replace the PRI & ERI on your phone w/ one from Verizon and that problem will go away (you won't have to modify your PRL).
