I'm a new poster here. Great forum and great info from everyone. IMO I noticed that on the older pictures with only the side view (volume rocker and dedicated camera button) and front view, those pictures showed the dedicated camera button as being "gold" in finish. However, if you look at the new pictures (front view with ninja blur and back view), the new back view pictures shows the dedicated camera button as being "red" in finish. Keeping with the Verizon branding color. Anyone else notice that or is it just me? This could be what bill23 was refering to as old hardware and these new pics are of an updated model. How else could you really tell? Unless he is a jedi?
I haven't examined the pictures that closely, so it's quite possible that what you say is true. That said, I would also think that if that's the case that Droid Life would have mentioned that, unless they don't know themselves and they're just a "middleman."

Oh wow u are right...very keen eyes there my friend...personally the phone looks pretty nice to me minus that massive verizon logo on the front. Can u us ur eyes to explain the back of the phone to me...i see a mic hole for vid recording/noise cancellation...a speaker...and a third massive circle? Looks random...tell me if u get anything
Small dot: noise cancel.
Slendor slot: speaker
Weird out-of-place circle: Weird out-of-place circle.
However, using zoom/enhancement algorithms developed by NASA, it is most likely a mic with wind cancellation for better HD video recording sound. Because every other cell phone video has made it seem like it was recorded through a sock puppet when listening to them. That's the best my eyes can do.
Second thought: Maybe the xtreme/shadow comes with a stick that fits perfectly into that weird circle. Ta Da: Kickstand
To motorola: please don't do this.
haha yes but if you look even closer on the old side view of the shadow the front of the button is gold but the sides of the button looks red if you zoom on it.
Good call. The sides of the button on the older picture _do_ look reddish.
The bump does not look bad when it is laying down, if the picture is something to go by
i don't see y it looks bad...it will be really ergonomic while holding it vertically...and its like a rela camera when ur shooting something...im taking this over the evo just because i know its durable enough to last two years in my hands (1st gen metal iPhone is still going hard)
Will you post at least 1 new photo (with your name watermarked on it perhaps?) to prove you actually have a Shadow/Xtreme? I'm trying to hold out ...I want this phone badly, but now there are rumours of the HTC Scorpion also coming to Verizon with a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon...that sounds pretty darn sexy too.
I would hold out on Evo and Incredible. In my opinion, Shadow look better. This phone is really slick and if you like thin phone, this is it. You got to see it and hold it to know what I am talking about.

Like the 51 pages of information in the thread that you posted in?
Think he was specifically asking bckan since it seems like he might have had some playtime with the Shadow. Maybe bcman has other info that hasnt been explained thoroughly.
