How did it feel in your hand size wise? Any other general impressions you can share?

Due to its size, it felt a little awkward pressing the buttons at the bottom. Almost feels like your holding a mini tablet. Also feels very thin except for the bulge at the top where the camera is housed. It was a lot lighter than the Moto Droid. The browser was very quick and responsive. The phone had 8Gigs of internal memory, a 8 Gig card installed, + over 500 megs of ram. It was clocked at 1000MHz. I was very impressed by the phone and think I could get used to its size quickly.

Thank you. So the reports of a 5" dimension on this phone could be close?

No problem typing with the bulge. I did not try the camera. Blur was activated however it was not bad. It basically looked like they used their own icon skins. Not sure if it can be deactivated. I was told it is doing well in testing and should be out next month. The unit I had was running Android 2.1.

How are you so sure about the clock speed? Did you install Set CPU?

Very nice. Looks like it's shaping up to be an amazing phone. Kind of glad I returned my Droid Incredible.

Interesting. That would explain why it has such a high Quadrant score without running 2.2

I'm going to guess that it either has the Snapdragon cpu as rumored or the OMAP 4430

No way in the hell the QSD8650 produces that type of power. If that were the case, its benchmarks would have been line with the other Snapdragon devices currently available.

I'll agree, but I definitely think the OMAP 3630 is out of the question. Not just because of clock speeds but for the simple fact that it does not support HDMI out. We all know that this phone has a HDMI port.

I can't really believe that all the reports have been incorrect up till now.... I'm still putting my money on the OMAP 3630. It seems like we have had enough insiders that one of them would have mentioned or hinted if the processor was something else or if it changed.

I think a lot of people are unaware of what the Quadrant Benchmark program is doing. Sorry to link away but here is a pretty good discussion of it: http://androidforums.com/motorola-sh...s-droid-x.html I think the take away message is that we can't really know the real numbers until the pro version of quadrant is out.

wouldnt it be the 3640 due to the clockspeed being said as 1ghz by VZW E
