=> Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.

Per wikipedia:
OMAP3640 - 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX530 GPU + 430 MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)
This would really go a long ways towards explaining those super high benchmark scores for the Shadow/X running 2.1
On the other hand, we heard the Shadow/X is the twin brother of the Droid2. And that latest leak of Droid2 had a 3630 in it.
No idea what to think. Hoping for the 3640.
The spec I'm most excited about is the 16m color depth display. Thank you Motorola!
Just a FYI, the OMAP3630 and OMAP3640 have the exact same core and can be clocked exactly the same way.
The OMAP3630 can access more memory.
Yeah, this was pointed out on another forum. TI's webpage at (http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/wtb...ontentId=52605) says that the 36x series only supports composite and s-video output. Only the omap 4 series seems to indicate HDMI support. How does this jive with the hdmi-out port on the shadow?
I'm guessing that's how that software identifies any mobile WebKit browsers. Probably when they coded that, most WebKit browsers were iPhones? No excuse, but just a guess. Safari (for iPhone, and full sized computers) is built on the webkit engine, but not all webkit browsers are Safari. No big deal. Apple built webkit and opensourced the engine. Google Chrome is built on it as well.
yes, despite the Android FUD, Apple has been cozy with open source for quite some time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebKit
Exactly, it is. I'm just so PO'd at HTC for short-changing their phones with 16bit/65k displays. Personally, I think the original Dorid's screen is the best around, at this point anyway. That's why it beat out the N1 and 3GS in Displaymate's shootout.Isn't this the same as the original Droid?
Is everyone assuming that the Droid X's screen is LCD/TFT and not any of the new OLED/AMOLED stuff?
There are alot of variables that go into making a great display. Personally, I would prefer an LCD/TFT with 24bit color to an AMOLED with less. I don't want to put down other handsets but go into a VZW store and look at the Inc next to the Dorid. The colors may not be as bright but the images pop, they have more depth and are less flat.
Just my personal pref though.
I'm calling crap on you buddy- definitely from Verizon. I should know, since I toook them. Still on my phone. I'd personally pic message them to you if it weren't for the fact that I don't want my number out there. Quit being negative.
General consensus seems to be that Safari is a part of the actual description for the specs of the WebKit browser that's in Verizon's spec systems that all the Android phones use, since Safari also is WebKit.. Just a weird coincidence.. We all know this baby is not running anything Crapple.
Correct- same shots for the Inc also showed QWERTY in this field
Internal VZW inventory data base
Correct- and where do you think the pics of the Inc's spec sheets came from???![]()
Call me out if you want- I'm legit- I've been on AF since the early days of the monster Incredible thread over there, and contributed quite a bit of pics, etc. although you wont see it credited to me anywhere and that's how I want it left. Take it for what it's worth, believe it or not, makes no difference to me. Just doing the same as I did for the Inc, and that's trying to get a little more info out there to the people who are waiting on the edges of their seats for this baby since I know I'm one of them.. Although, gotta admit, not quite as excited as I was for the Inc.. But anyways, troll if you must, but name confirmation seems like a pretty big piece of info to me..
So what's the point of a dual LED flash? I know a few other phones do this too. Is it to achieve maximum brightness, is one capable of staying on for video, or as a flashlight?
um.. what about motorola XT720?
It also got an hdmi output, but some source stated that its an OMAP 3440
so the Xtreme may not necessary need a OMAP 4 ?

Sorry to rub you wrong with my post but please help me out with what I see from these and other pictures....
http://phandroid.com/wp-content/uplo...dXfeatures.jpg bottom left corner says device type what other info other than VZW would go in there? where is the VZW logo? and what is that dancing phone logo of? I work at a small firm every bit of code that we write every screen that someone in the company or a customer see's has our logo on it.
What new have we found out in those pictures that we haven't been told by bill23, wnrusell, alx ???
The statement on Phandroid says that there is a front facing camera. While I would love to have a front facing camera I just don't see there being space for it in the chassis. Here are some of the pictures leaked to droid life http://phandroid.com/wp-content/uplo...xtreme2-dl.jpg just to the right of center I see a small whitish dot. potentially be a camera but the resolution is going to be low. it looks similar to the spot on the front of an Iphone4g but smaller. Maybe I'm wrong and will be pleasantly pleased but for now I'm skeptical.
Also that cell phone logo is bothering me. it doesn't look professional like something Verizon would do. I feel like I have seen it before but can't place it. Please prove me wrong. show me a corporate website or document that I can get from Verizon that has that logo.
I'm not saying that you didn't take the pictures. I fully believe you did. I just don't think there directly from Verizon.... if they are then you don't work there anymore.....
any way please change my mind.
