How the hell do you get this info so quick? I just heard about and you somehow already knew it.i want your connections.
I was hoping you and wnrussell would have a conversation over PM and discuss this new finding. Glad to know this is now confirmed.
Oh well, I don't think I can wait till August, I've been without my droid since January and I just can't wait any longer. Really had my heart set on the shadow too... oh well.
At least one positive to waiting for August(assuming it gets announce in June or July) is the potential for hands on and previews and full reviews of the device to come out?

why so crushing to all? Fact is from what I've always mentioned is mid - late July at earliest. So to be moved off to Aug is no biggie IMO at least. This idea of ever thinking June or early July was just a pipe dream if you ask me. Specially if anyone thinks it will be released with Froyo which I'll guess is very very unlikely to happen.
Show me the extended battery's. And who wants to add bulk to a device when you can just mange your battery settings more and more with each new firmware as time progresses.
And Moto blur can be turned o. Or off on any device.even if it is still stealthy running in the background you would never see it.just ask the ninjas about it.
lets see how current vzw devices stack up when the shadow launches.
Look at the seido 1750 mah battery its the same size as the normal battery, not trying to troll here just proving a point

I'm right in there with everyone else being a bit disappointed about the release date -- especially considering the circa 2004 antique that I am stuck using after returning the Inc. -- 2 days after receiving it.
However, a one month delay for a "hardware change" which (whether already documented on this forum - or not) will undoubtedly make the device better in one way or another...
...Along with a purely theoretical "higher-probability" of 2.2 and 10.1 being incorporated into the device on its release date -- is really an acceptable trade-off for me -- in the big picture of things.
People get all hyped up on speculative release dates so much it becomes "official" (wasn't the release date for the vzw N1 supposed to be 23Mar or something??? haha) and then get themselves let down when that information proves to be false. All that stuff makes it hard to read these threads.
Everytime you don't read the thread before asking your silly question, Verizon delays a new cellphone. Yes, Verizon did just robbed you.
HAHAHAHA! yeah I'm laughing at you!
I'm new here but have lurked before. I'd like to remind everyone that Verizon has, historically, had a pretty lengthy testing period for new hardware before making it available. And they have, on many occasions, delayed a release after previously advertising a date for that release. I believe that they have a very thorough testing program and I'm glad they do. But the real reason that they do this is to keep customer satisfaction high and the number of calls to call centers as low as possible. It's good business. So, if there is a hardware change and the pre production samples are in hand, I would venture to guess that you are 8 weeks minimum to a drop date. If samples are not in hand, well, later than that. probably later.......
Unless I am overlooking something or the above information is inaccurate are these not essentially the same SoC, only the Shadow's 3630 is a 45nm manufacture (ie. better battery life/overclocking potential)?
For those of us who have been running overclocked Droid's, wouldn't the performance (not including battery life) of the Shadow actually be inferior?
From the video I saw in the link posted a few pages back, showing the both CPU running on a reference Android 2.1 device, the OMAP3630 supposedly had an 80% or so increase in gpu performance.
It seemed to good to be true...a June or July release was too close to the INC release. They would've had thousands of INCs returned on the 30 day policy
to up grade to the larger screen.
