Looking good. I kind of wish they also took a pic of the back of the device.

Yep that is a great find as mentioned, and is the device. However unless something has changed in the past week or so some of the details are incorrect. It does not have 9 screen, and it will not release with 2.2. Either way I'm sure one of our other gurus will clear that up for sure one way or another.
Looking good. I kind of wish they also took a pic of the back of the device.
That looks nice except for that strange extrusion on the back. hopefully its on the top and not the bottom. At least when you put the phone down it wont rest on the camera either.
How does the "chin" feel when being held? Is it as awkward as it looks, or does is it ergonomic when held in portrait orientation? I can imagine it resting on the top of my fingers and being comfortable
Do you mean that bump out the back at the top?
Funny thing, I was talking with someone about the Shadow and mentioned the camera sticking out like that. They had played with the phone for awhile, and they didn't even realize it was there. It feels so natural that they hadn't even noticed it.
Who ever that "tipster" is sent over real pictures, but bad information.
You can also get a good view of the mechanical buttons at the bottom.
you probably missunderstood him. he says that shadow and droid2 arent the same phone. h wrote "!=" and not "=".
Or missunderstood i you?
Maybe the reason why this Shadow is running faster than the Galaxy S has to do with the fact that maybe its version of Touchwiz is slowing Android down?

I know that you know what you're talking about so i was kind of confused. LOL.
I'm not against this bump at the back of the phone, really! But I'm worried that it might have disadvantages when you lay your phone on the table and want to use it besides some other work, like I often do, when typing some work into my notebook and just occasionally check messages etc. on my phone. The imbalance might be annoying.

This is the one thing that annoys me about Motorola. They have the best build quality, the best reception, the best sound quality, they're a company based in the USA and buying them supports America more than any other manufacturer - they're all wins, but they always have to have that ONE thing that makes you ask: "WHY?!"
They had the RAZR, but put that stupid chin on it. They had the Droid, but had that stupid lip on the bottom. Now they have the Shadow - probably the nicest looking phone they've ever made - and they have that giant cancerous goiter jutting out of the back of the phone. Look, I get that the phone is thin. I get that they needed to put a camera in there. However, the Incredible has all these things and doesn't have a tumor sticking out of the back of the phone. I would rather them add 2-3mm on the width of the entire phone than have it be 9mm over 80% of the phone's back and then a hump. This figurative "egg on its head" would make it difficult to dock and impossible to lie flat on its back. I would like a phone that lies flush on the table, not leaning on a 15 degree angle at all times.
Moto always has to put that one goofy quirk in their device that makes you wonder, "What the heck were they thinking?"![]()
The Incredible also has its camera sticking out farther than the rear of the phone which sounds like a bad idea to me. I'd rather the phone be fatter there than have the lense out as far as the incredibles.
I don't think the "hump" would both me one bit.
There's a map for that...
