    Reactivation fee $10

I bought a used Boost phone on ebay and was trying to activate it, a popup says "as this phone was activated before, there will be a $10 reactivation fee". Is this normal or a new thing?

Is this a iDen or CDMA phone? If iDen, please let me know and I will move it to the proper forum.

This is normal. All USED Boost CDMA Phones and IDEN SIM Cards are charged a $10 reactivation fee.

So when you borrow an ESN from someone for activation, you pay the $10 to boost because that ESN was used?

Right. Boost wants money for reusing the ESN or SIM ID. This is their way of making a profit still, even though you didn't buy a new Boost Phone.
