Depends. You won't get the speeds with LTE that you would with 4G and the EVO becuase the INC isn't a LTE phone. I would never switch to Sprint becuse of how bad there network is here so it's really up to you.

Should I get an Evo with Sprint or a Incredible with Verizon? Sprint has the 4G network, but I hear Verizon is going LTE? Will the incredible work on LTE? should I wait?

There's no doubt that Sprint is making a TON of improvements to their network and really focusing on the customers and what they've had to say. That said, it's really hard for me to recommend going to Sprint or Verizon, simply because I don't know which area of the country you're looking for service in.
I've played with the Incredible and it's lightning fast, very fun to use, and has a pretty accurate and gorgeous touch screen. The Evo, I have yet to play with, but I'm going to as soon as it comes out, simply because I'm looking to make the move to Sprint by the end of the summer.
Do some research on the coverage in your area and apply that to your needs, and get back to us.![]()
I have played with both phones. I like the size of the Incredible better. The EVO is almost too big, especially if you are like me and keep the phone in your front pocket. I do like the Hotspot feature of the EVO, but I would think that eventually Verizon will look at doing the same on the Incredible. Network wise, depends on where you live. Overall Verizon has a better network. If you are in a 4G area, that is pretty nice on the EVO, but the area's are limited. LTE will not be added to the Incredible, so you will see another device. Plus it will be time to update to another phone by the time LTE launches on Verizon.
Another note, not sure if the Incredible has FM Radio, but that is another cool feature of the EVO that I can see using for ballgames when I get pulled to go somewhere with the wife. Ugh....
The Incredible does have a FM tuner in it, one other reason I wanted. If you want the EVO but want the reliability of Verizon's network check out the Motorola Shadow. Its going to have a 4.3" screen if thats one of the reason your looking at the EVO.
Hello IAmJoe16, my name is BJ DeHut and I represent Sprint online as their SprintCareGuide. I can’t speak to the Incredible, but when it comes to the EVO you will definitely enjoy a faster network and cheaper plans. I am not sure if you live in a 4G City, but if you do then the EVO will be unbeatable in your area. If you are ever curious to see what Sprint service would be like in the areas you frequent most, check out this handy tool: http://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp
yeah, if you dont have good coverage in your area with one of these carriers, then I would go with the other one..both are sweet phones..
You can't go wrong with either phone, it comes down to your coverage area.
Word is that even their 4g is not as fast as Verizons 3g.
You are spreading Doom And Gloom about sprint. The shadow is supposed to have a 4.1 inch screen. And no the incredible does not use LTE. The FM tuner is in the EVO too. There is no LTE Phone on Verizon. They exist only in a lab.Originally Posted by JE78

Location, location, location. As stated above by BJ Sprint, I went to the link, and typed in my zip code, and found that sprint has no service in my area. I would love to have the 4.3" screen of the Evo, but it would not work here. Will probably get the Shadow if it has a 4.1 or larger screen, and will be introduced with android 2.2.

If you have equal coverage from both carriers, then go to the stores and play with the phones for a few minutes. I've been on Verizon for some time now and the Incredible is the first smartphone I've had ever. I really do like it, and despite all the great reviews, I spent about 15 minutes at the store making calls and playing with the features to make sure it was the phone I wanted.
Do those coverage maps include WiMAX? I would check the CLEAR maps if you can't find one on Sprint's website.
