I wonder about Pocatello and Idaho Falls though, those areas aren't big for NIMBY's.

As of tomorrow, I see Montana as the only state left with no Verizon LTE. Second place with the smallest area will be Wyoming with only Sheridan and Gillette covered and not the state capitol and largest city, Cheyenne. Nothing yet for several cities of 100,000-200,000 people: Topeka KS, Amarillo & Odessa TX among them, as well as Corpus Christi, TX, with 305,000. I know Texas is AT&T country, but Verizon does have native coverage there, and as such will have to be covered with LTE a year from now to meet Verizon's goal. I'm sure there are some other big cities back east and out west that I don't know about. Verizon's choices and distribution are still quite interesting.

Here in NorCal, there is only one city north of San Francisco and Sacramento over 100,000, that would be Santa Rosa at 150,000. The next nearest cities of that size would be Redding and Chico, both at 90,000, all the other towns in NorCal are smaller, most are a LOT smaller.

There is going to be MORE LTE in Illinois than AT&T has 3G expansion there.

Wow, just wow. When you toss in Kankakee, LaSalle, all the surrounding communities, then add Decatur and Effingham (Effingham in particular because AT&T is EDGE there and AT&T is the ILEC there too). This is just a rout. Should leave little doubt as to who the best provider for mobile is in Illinois.

Wow. According to VZ's press release they will be in 304 markets by tomorrow with LTE. Further in the release they said they plan to be in more than 400 markets by the end of 2012.

It is very impressive. At this point I have LTE almost any place I could need it.

According to the Verizon wireless news site's there is a big expansion to the Phila market on 06/12 this include's Cecilton Maryland. Galena has it now it is 4.5 mile's away that coverage fall's far short. Warwick Md has panel's that could be LTE it is 4.8 mile's away so I would think that would fall short. No other tower's with in 8 t0 10 mile's. This tower is in Cecilton I posted this picture a while back but it's a busted link so I will post this picture. I t was said to be when I posted this picture it was AT&T I'm not sure now What do you all think.https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-I...-18-44_360.jpg the top is Verizon 1xshark fin's and 3g panei's the two bottom tall are LTE panel's could these indeed be Verizon's. There are two of per sector.

Honesty it's hard to tell since VZW doesn't use RRU's like Sprint and AT&T do. I'm going to guess the ones on the bottom are possibly LTE ready, but that doesn't mean LTE will be activated there soon.

and what's sad Fraydog, I have seen NO mention what so ever of this expansion including Mattoon/Charleston... You'd think they'd want to include that since oh idk VZW has a VERY large contract from Eastern Illinois University... now if they can find a way to fill in that gash of roaming along US 50.... then my iPhone data will work when I'm at home!

actually your wrong about Effingham with at&t being the ILEC. it's all Consolidated Communications or Frontier for the ILEC's around Effingham, but still if I'm in the VZW store in Effingham, I just got the biggest selling point of all for smartphone buyers... We have LTE, at&t down the road.... has EDGE...

Houghton? Houghton, MI? That's the upper peninsula!!! Holy cow, LTE in 'da UP.
Yeah, really! That's amazing, and awesome! Depending on how far outside the city proper the LTE signal extends, I bet they'll get a lot of new HomeFusion subscribers .

I guess we will see soon when the new map's go live. Unless they are going to turn up the power on all the surrounding tower's that's the only way Cecilton Md 21913 will get coverage.

Not sure why Verizon would take up two racks on a tower as opposed to one, and not sure why there are two LTE panels facing this way, but I guess anything is possible. If I had to take a stab, I would say that tower does indeed have Verizon on the top rack, but they have no LTE panels and that bottom carrier is AT&T or T-Mobile EDGE. Some new-style EDGE (850) panels resemble LTE panels. The shorter panels surrounding those tall ones are likely UMTS.

The way it should be You can't have beautiful terrain and LTE too; that just wouldn't be fair... (j/k)

If you think that's bad, consider SoCal. Hello, Verizon?! Did you forget that you are missing a few million people down here (even just in Simi Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley!)?
