Take the Tmobile blocked device and unlock it. Switch it to a Att mvno/Gophone or one of the rare independent gsm carriers like IWireless (Idaho/local only) and be back in action.

    Simple mobile sucks!!!

False advertising. Lies. Deception. No delivery. Does not honor service agreement. Scam.

Class action going on. Company will fall. Mgmt will be imprisoned.

Spend your money on clothes instead

All mvnos have this weakness, their unlimited is not. Never has been, never will be. Some SM CSRs are upfront, I tested them. At least 2/3 told me that it is capped at 2gigs for 4g and then throttled.

Mvnos have to pay a middleman so they make less money then a prepaid division (Verizon/Tmobile/Att prepaid, Boost/Virgin Mobile). They rely on numbers/stats to make money on unlimited plans and if you happen to be in the top 1-5% of users, watch out, there will be consequences (throttle, kicked off, suspended, warnings, etc).

Att mvnos have a minute cap of 5000 minutes on their unlimited talk plans.
Sprint mvnos have a cap of 4-6000 talk minutes on theirs.

Prepaid divisions stuff their unlimited plans with tons of cheap night/weekend/mobile to mobile minutes so it reduces the cost and offers more then any mvno can.

If you take the Simple mobile unlimited $60 plan vs the Tmobile Monthly 4G (snicker, it's Tmobile prepaid) $70 unlimited everything high speed data plan, the Tmobile plan has a much higher cap before throttle (5 gigs vs 2) and they tell you upfront.

Simple has handled their whole cap thing rather poorly in their rise to the top of new mvnos but that still hasn't stopped them from making 1.5 million activations a year . Other prepaid/mvnos have done the same thing on their rise (Page Plus, kicked off unlimited talk/text users, Boost mobile iden, mms/sms system collapse/overload, Virgin Mobile: Data/mms network failures).

That's the price of being popular.

There are tons of gsm/byod alternatives, albeit few with unlimited data. Att mvnos/Gophone, Tmobile prepaid are the best ones.

I'm gonna say, this I always felt like I was a heavy user so I never went to simple cause the data cap rumors. I started using 3g watch dog for a month to see my usage, and notice that I only go through 1gb a month and I use fb so much and an occasional netflix movie on long car rides. I think simple is great with affordable 4G plan but I suggest watching your current data usage before switching.
