Unlocking vs flashing vs esn change???

If someone wanted to change esn on a Sprint HTC EVO would they need to unlock it, flash it, something else or all of the above??

Where could one find the TUT, software and hardware needed to make it happen?

Yes, you have to find a secret and hidden path to do this. It is difficult to find such path though. Maybe look for russian websites... seems that they like doing this stuff. Well but not limited to russians... well all i can say is "good luck"
