What is your Parameter 30 value?

It would be very helpful to many trac and net10 users if we could build a thread that lists 'parameter 30' values along with the number of corresponding minutes. For those that are unaware the 'parameter 30' value represents the number of mins currently on the fone. Listing this info here will in no way jeopardize or compromise your fone. What it will do is benefit others who have lost their fones or those who have a broken fone.

How? Well, if you drop your fone in the lake and you know approximately how many minutes were on it, but don't know the parameter 30 value (and many don't), then you can come to this list and pick a value that is close to what you had. Even though parameter 30 values will vary in the number of digits between fone models, they ARE still interchangeable between fone models. This is usually the piece of info most are missing when doing a transfer. You will need some other information but this is one of the key pieces. (If needed I or someone else can post later with instructions explaining exactly how to do the transfer. Jimates may already have a tutorial that helps...I'll have to look)

To find 'parameter 30' go to the 'prepaid menu', then to 'code entry', then punch in *#30 (star, pound, 3, 0) and hit enter. The fone will now display the' parameter 30' value.

(ann, please feel free to correct my splelling, punctuation, and my grammar also too.)

I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

This is a great idea. Is it the same for NET10 & Tracfone handsets?

You are correct. I didn't. I will post a list of par30 values when I get home to my trac and n10 fones. I have several. I carry an omnia that is on PP and that's what I have with me now.

Don't ask what these mean, but I have a three year old Moto C261 on Tracfone with 1167.94 minutes. The Parameter 30 was 1401001604.

I also have an 18 month old Moto W375 on Net10 with 3014.50 minutes and a Parameter 30 of 1023536978. I intend to replace this phone with a Samsung 201G in the next week or so, I bet the parameters completely change.

I can also confirm that both phones work even after checking the Parameter 30 values.
