Can someone please help. I have a Sony x10a and the voicemail icon is always on at the top. I drag down the window and it says New Voicemail, Voicemail number unknown even though there is no messages on my voicemail. Anyone have any suggestions to remove this? There is no "Clear" button at the top right to clear it and will only clear other notifications.

I have had this issue before.. it was on my Nokia e71 what i did was call myself and leave a voicemail.. then when I retrieved it and deleted the message the voicemail icon was gone.
Hope it helps
I did try that, and I still have the notification. I actually have an option on my voicemail to turn notifications off, and my phone still shows it. This leads me to think it's something with the phone, and not my voicemail.
Thanks anyways though!
Is your phone branded to one provider, but you are using it on another provider?
i.e. is it a Rogers phone that you are using with a non-Rogers SIM?
Have you tried putting your SIM into someone else's phone to see if the notification is still there?
My girlfriend had a similar problem when updating her Tilt 2 to a BB Torch. We tried several ways of 'tricking' the phone into getting rid of that last message. What would up working was calling AT&T. They got rid of her voicemail feature and then re-added it while her phone was off via a battery pull. Powered the phone back on and voila! No more message.
So after talking with Rogers, they sent me a new SIM card and no more notification. Apparently some older SIM cards (mine was from around 2003) can cause this problem.
Voicemail Notification never goes away
