    I have the same package:
$80 for the 6gb data (unzoned), unlimited voice
    $10 vm/cid/etc... with $10 credit
    Total is $80 plus tax.

When I phoned today I was told that they can only do ONE credit per acct' and that the max credit is $10. What do I say to that to get them to throw in some long distance, or bring down my total?

You could ask them to drop your $80 plan and go with the new $50 unlimited and the $30/6GB data and keep your VP. This would be $90 but if you keep your $10 credit, which you should, then it is the same $80.

The new plan is unzoned, unlimited calling from anywhere in Canada to anywhere in US or Canada (so unlimited local and long distance, unzoned), SMS and MMS from Canada to anywhere in Canada. You don't get 'some' long distance, you'd get unlimited long distance.
    Plan numbers are:
    $50 SAV36012P (3 year)
    $50 SAV24012p (2 year)
    $50 SAVMM012P (month to month)

Make sure to ask for unzoned.
Unlocked iPhone 5, unlocked iPhone 4
Unlimited airtime, Unlimited CAN/US long distance, Unlimited SMS to CAN/US wireless numbers
2500 Call Forwarding minutes to CAN/US numbers
    CiD, 6GB
Google Voice for visual voice mail with message transcription, conditional greetings, unlimited messages (vs 35 message cap), remote retrieval from any PC or phone, no auto-purge after 10 days and most importantly no $7-$8 charge.
    $53

So this is a FIDO plan? I will ask them to do that immediately. I will also ensure that my data remains unzoned!

    Thanks again,

The dedicated thread originally said MMS too. I just got the plan before I saw your post, but I did confirm it was MMS included. Could be wrong, worth verifying if you call in.

What I actually asked was "does the messaging included picture messaging?", she said yes. But, she had never heard of the plan before and I didn't know it was not in question, so I didn't push the point. (plus, what a great offer and I didn't want to stay on the line any more, just in case)

Hmm, it seems they do not have MMS. I will call in to confirm later today or tomorrow, but assume it does not for now.

Original post has been updated, title change request has been sent to mods.

Also, I have the new $50 unlimited nationwide CAN/USA plan on my Fido line and it does not include MMS. But I mean seriously, how picky can we possibly get? And who the heck uses MMS anymore anyways?
"That 24-month period gave the incumbents all the time in the world to create the Chatrs of the world, create the Koodos of the world", Mr. Lacavera said, referring to the discount brands launched by Rogers and Telus in response to the threat from the new entrants.

True. I cannot think of a single reason to use MMS on a smart phone. I just thought it was included.

With MMS you can send a picture to any Fido or Rogers customer that has almost any type of phone. With an Iphone or blackberry you can't do that, unless you use mms.

Yeah, I know. I just figure if there is something I think is worthwhile to send a picture of, I will just email and they can then view it on any email capable device. When my kids were born, I sure wasn't thinking to MMS their pics to their grandparents. MMS has it's place I suppose, but email is so much more flexible and convenient. Everyone I might send pics to has email somewhere...not all have cell phones or MMS. I can send an email pic to dozens of people.

Anyway, I was speaking for myself. For me, MMS has no real use, so I am not disappointed not to gain it.
