P905i and hypersim "first timer" help

    Hi everyone,

First I would like to apologize in advance if this post is in the wrong section. I'm new here and I'm not really sure where everything goes.

Anyway, back to the problem. Today, my P905i finally arrived after four weeks of waiting. When I put in the hypersim (I-smartphone) combined with my ATT sim card, I keep getting the message "This UIM cannot be recognized".

There are several things that I think may be the problem:
    1) The hypersim doesn't work
    2) I put it in the wrong way
    3) Maybe the simcard?

But I am not sure which it could be, or if it is one of those at all.

I've included some pictures to give you guys a reference, and here are the ebay posts:

(please tell me if the pictures do not work)

Once again I apologize if this is in the wrong section..

Please and thank you in advance for the help!!

I think mrsim had issues wth p905i at least hte version I used at the time, couldnt sms with it. That hypersim plus att sim should have worked on p905i but it might be another revision of the att sim card thats the issue. I am using a 2022 instead of a 3022 and it worked on my old p905i

    - I do not want to consider buying a new hypersim unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.. I'm sorry, but I'm very tight on money. It took a while before I could even purchase these two items.

    - What does 2022 and 3022 mean? I tried putting in my older simcard (About three years old from today) and it had the same problem.
I live in CA, US, but it should be working fine.

What is the difference between Mr. Sim, Ionuke, Inex, and I-smartphone? Other than what you said about sms being unable to be used, what else?

    1. Maybe DOA, try it with friend's tmobile hypersim.
    2. Contact the seller tell him about it and get a refund.
    3. You shouldn't get a hypersim from ebay at the first place.

You can get it on ebay. No, it won't affect any service.

shouldnt affect service on att, ebay has a few 64k sim cards I believe or you might be able to ask an att store to check the sim cards they have if they have older ones

Yeah ATT is not really a Hypersim's best friend so you need to find an older one for best results.

AT&T's 3G sim cards make it really complicated. I think I only kept up with 6 revisions of it and then I gave up. Forget updating them.... I can't keep buying the SIMs just to figure out if there's any changes to the authentication in the program **palm to face**

Your best bet is to use 64K cingular sim.

    It's all good (^_^)
