So if I buy a 64k card.. What happens to my number and plan with Att? Or do I get a whole new number?
Because that seems like the best option, and it's a lot cheaper than the others, but I'm worried about the other things.

IonNuke - someone who used to use the p905i said that you supply hypersims that work with the new att simcards. Is that option more feasible or secure?

Thank you everyone for your help up to this point. This is giving me a lot of great feedback.

its probably cheaper to get an older sim, the 3g cingular 64k also work too along with the 64k 2g cards. and you just go to the store bring the blank sim card and tell them you want to change sim cards b/c your current one is having problems they should be able to do it and you keep your old number

I think I should just get the 64k then..

And that is compatible with the hypersim I have?

As I said, borrow a tmobile sim card from someone and try it. If that is compatible, very likely the Cingular sim is also compatible.

So I'm pretty sure I'll get the old simcard. I'm still a little unsure because there are a few things I'm pretty in the dark about, but I think that's the best solution.

Okay, so the 64k Cingular 2G simcard arrived today. I have it here.

Now, what should I do? I know that I need to arrange the simcard to fit with the hypersim. Can someone who had a p905i help me with that? There are pictures of the hypersim on the first post, and the simcard that just arrived has pictures on the first page.

Um you gotta contact AT&T and have them transfer your account to the 64K cingular card..... and if you have already done so then continue with pairing the sim card with the hypersim.

    It's all good (^_^)

Alright, I just got all my data put onto the new card.

I'm a little nervous to do the pairing now but I'll give it a shot..

Should I cut it in the same fashion as the other card?

That's cutting the top right corner in a square shape.

You would need too for it to fit properly.

Okay well I cut the upper right corner (if you look at it with the "cingular" word right side up) and put my hypersim so that the black box fit into that empty space, put it into my keitai and it's still giving the same message..

    >< I'm sorry I'm being a little irritating but I'm actually kinda pissed so yeah..

I don't know why it's not working at this point.

if you cut too much of your sim off, just drill a hole in it and tie it with a string or dental floss

I actually live near San Francisco in Northern California. But something that would really help (if you don't mind) would be pictures of your keitai, how the hypersim and simcard look (like how you cut them and how you inserted them into the phone) and just various pictures like that to give me an idea. That seriously would really really help me.
    Thanks! I appreciate it!

And if I do cut off too much, I'll attach it back with the floss. XD
