Rest assured, after my purchase, krinen's AWESOME support continued and now I have a full flashed EVO on the PP network, as do some of us other people as well! THANK YOU VERY MUCH krinen!

I also want to thank Cain, for his contribution and knowledge.

I do have a couple of questions for you guys, however, please let me know what you guys think:

    1. If I root, unlock NAND, install recovery, wipe, and install a Custom ROM on my EVO, what changes (in terms of the flash procedure on PP) am I expected to repeat? As in, I know I would probably have to restore the MMS APN, and maybe even the PRL. But will that be all?

    2. What about the new radio and WiMax update required for some of the ROMs for the EVO? Can we do that for EVOs on PP, and the same question as above, what will I be expected to repeat from the flashing process. I understand that the WiMax part is actually probably irrelevant to us.

    3. Last question is for krinen. Dude, you are awesome, and all your hard work has paid off for us, but are you aware that your MMS fix is currently re-sizing the photos down to very small sizes? As in, when I had the Incredible on the PP network, the MMS would be high quality pictures of sizes going in 100s of KBs. However, with the MMS on the EVO, with the APN you provided, the pictures are getting downsized, despite the Max Message limit being set to 2 MB in the messaging clients in the phone. We're talking of pictures being 30KB. Is there any chance of fixing this issue?

Thought I would bring it your attention, although, you have already done so much for us. Once again, thank you very much!
As for the MMS, depending on what messaging program you are using you should be able to edit the settings. I am using Handcent and can change the MMS up to 2M. Play around with those settings and see if that helps.

If you wipe and flash a new rom then see if your web still works, if not then just follow the tut and you should be good to go. I am 99% sure that you are going to have to redo the MMS every time you reset.

Thanks for your response krinen. As I mentioned, in my previous post, I made sure that the size of MMS is set correctly, both in the stock App and chompSMS, I believe it is 2M or so? I may be wrong about this, but can others test and confirm that this is happening?

What about the other issue, krinen, about the Radio and the WiMax updates on the EVO Dev forums? Some ROMs require that. Are we, as PP users of EVO safe to flash those updated Radios and the WiMax update? Please let me know, and as always, my deepest gratitude to you, Sir !

Bad ESN is fine to use on P+ as long as it is a Sprint phone.

Yeah, because they are a Verizon "reseller" they do not have any other carriers blacklist on file. I am a P+ dealer and actually got in a bit of a heated discussion with one of their techs due to him saying they blacklist ALL of Sprint phones. LOL. I said "really, my EVO sounds great on Verizon service".

It would cost P+ so much to get all of the lists from Sprint, Boost CDMA, Virgin, etc..... lol

That would be +1 on krinen rocking, k1ng617, or were you the +1, LOL!? Nonetheless, krinen helped us a lot and he personally took time out to help me, so he ROCKS indeed!

By the way krinen, thanks for the info on the ROMs/Radio man, I have to take the plunge soon. In the meanwhile though, let me confirm that my MMS images are being capped at around 30KBs per picture. That was not the case with my Droid Incredible on PP. Another issue which you have mentioned already is, 3G being spotty and taking a very long time to come on.

If you ever get time from your busy schedule, and feel a little OCD about improving your Flash method to help with those two issues I mentioned, it would be great :P! In the meanwhile, we are extremely grateful for your work to make this happen ! Thanks man!

I am looking into the 3G taking a while. I think if I can edit the autostart file much like the Cricket flash it should help. The problem is we have to keep the one profile as Something@sprintpcs.com for provisioning. Otherwise we get data call errors.

I think the phone is trying to connect to Sprint then after all the retries fails it moves to the next profile (p+) profile in this case.

Sorry I have been away for a while. I run my own repair shop and right now I am swamped. I just got 35 PS3's in this past week alone
