Evo on PagePlus???

anders will you walk me through how you flashed from sprint to page plus? I have a evo with sprint that I want to flash to page plus. I rooted the phone but that is all. I have read till I'm blue in the face but can't nail it down.
I'm a newbie with the phone programming.

YES the hardware 004 guide has been releases to.the public Mayb just not here on hofo. A lot of programmers that figure this stuff out don't come on hofo nemore. I'll post a link to the guide when I get around a pc.

There is NO WAY 2 ROOT 2.3 yet so if u want ur phone rooted I suggest not taking the 2.3 ota. It will have root access sumtime n the future but when is unknown unless they have got root access since I looked about a week ago which is a very good possibility. Just a heads up on that. The also have a esn repair method for all hardware versions not sure about 2.3 on that either cause I personally have not tried nething on a EVO with 2.3 unless it was a 2.3 Rom which is way different from the ota

CDMA workshop wants to install oreans32.sys and when I look that up it is reported as a virus.
Is this possibly a hacked version I have or i this a common file for the program?

Is it the 2.7 version? Where did u get ur version of CDMA WS and what version is it? Mines the 3.5.5 but they r up to 3.7 now if u paid for it and if u paid for it it is legit no virus.
Either way 98% of flashing software shows up as a virus but its not. That's y most serious flashers like my self don't have virus software on our flashing pc's

It is 3.5.5.
since you said that I loaded 2.7 and it does not try to install that program.
So yea I guess it is a virus.

I take that back it did try to install that file.
I'll pull out an old laptop and use that for programming like your probably doing.

If u r trin to use a 3.5.5 cracked.version of ws then yes its a virus there is only 1 version thats cracked n its way old. If u want to flash phones correctly u should stop being cheap and buy a copy of ws or pay Sum1 that has paid for & knows what they r doin as u can BRICK ur phone pretty easy.

I'm just downloading the what I figure is the limited free version from megaupload. I stay away from cracked versions.
I'm not worried about flashing I have too much experience with flashing other devices. I'm just a newbie on the phones and looking for some help from those that have been there. Shoot they started somewhere too.

I just used the free edition of cdma workshop from their website. You should be able to flash the evo no prob with the demo version. Here is a link to their actual website, not mega upload.

Edit: You can also buy cdma workshop directly from them via paypal on their site. Its $99 for it and one year of updates.

Ok I have a couple questions.
Should I have htc sync drivers loaded on this pc I'm using?
When I use ##775# it does not work for me either.
so the computer is not connecting to my phone when in cdma i select connect (com1 says connected succesfully) then the read I get (phone does not answer)
Do I start the phone when I plug it in as a hard drive or in htc sync mode?
